These days, nobody says that anymore, what happened?

Despite the huge number of sophisticated arms in the hands of civilians in the US, i have never heard a single case of soldiers and civilians clash over there. Wats the issue with our own army? Are they that idle that they now constitute nuisance everywhere?

Naso some army come harash one guy for my street on top girlfriend, when they saw how boys mount, dem use tactics japa. Very soon citizen go dey deal with army like we dey deal with police. They're gradually losing their prestige like the police. Cant they learn from US or UK army?? undecided
army for inside country no suppose get much influence. Na police dey maintain law and order....army na to defend the nation. Nigeria army and police no difference

There are all tribes there but there are more south easterners than any other single tribe. Or if you prefer, there are more south easterners there than northerners. That's my observation.

Years back I used to have so much respect for our military personnel. Today I've come to discover that they're just a bunch of undisciplined thugs in uniform.

What a shame.
If soldiers stop having guns with them like other soldiers do abroad, we for dey slap anyhow whenever they misbehave. Have you seen a single solder take on a fight with a civilian without calling for backup? Many of them are bunch of weaklings.

Plenty! If police give orders u must obey! Those soldiers knows this, if police were deployed and they go there to fight! The soldiers would be arrested

it's sad that after the hard military drills they are not taught how to be civil in dealing with civilians. Instead they dehumanize civilians at the slightest opportunity. I think their nonsensical licence to kill should be taken away and let me handle one of them man o'mano to see whether I'm truly a bloody civilian angry

No justice in Nigeria thats why every takes the law into his or her hands

Those traders will sell you defective device and will not want to refund or change the device for you.

Soldiers will beat business man and the corrupt business men will gang up to protect their own same way politicians will defend themselves.

Until the law is truly blind in Nigeria, we will continue to witness this sort of brake down of laws and order
Na so...this is d norm in Nigeria now.u will ask dem do u hav this thing, even giv dem d specs n they will carry something else close to that thing n giv u without telling u we dnt actually hav d one u asked for.then wen u say refund, they will tell u wen we sell market by nxt week or u pick another product. Those igbo traders sha dey provoke person wit this shit.

If the Nigeria Army does not teach this bastards a lesson then i will classify them as ediots.

Enough is enough, the disrespect is just too much.

The Banex traders and thier tours are behaving as if they are untouchable, cry unruly.

Even the traders union allow and encourage the unruliness.

Nigeria Army should please deal with them very well.

"A viral video seen by our correspondent on X on Saturday showed a multitude of civilians overpowering some soldiers during a free-for-all fight at Banex."

Say what you want about the North, they know how to deal with soldiers and police. Soldiers thought they were in the South where a single soldier can OPPRESS an entire community.

Misbehave in the North and collect your customised VAWULENCE.

You are glorifying a mob of over 40 people gathering just about 3 soldiers that had issues with a phone they bought and came to complain. Well they came back and all those your people of the North that knows how to deal with soldiers did not stand. They all ran away. Plenty go don collect. You lots will be creating issues where innocent people will come and suffer it.

My sympathy is with the main business owners there and the innocent passersby who could be affected by the stupidity of those hoodlums.

Stop celebrating rubbish.

All the things you said about the North, yet they are still riddled with terrorism, which the soldiers are fighting for them there? If they are powerful and united, they should end their problems. The region also has a high poverty rate.
