Either you use Sao Paulo to Panama to Barbados
or with Istanbul to Panama to Barbados
but did not try to buy a separate ticket
Let your ticket be a return ticket with a PNR code
You must collect your entire Lagos to Barbados boarding pass

Travel with Turkish Airlines. I am not a travel agent but I reside in the Americas. You will have to travel to Istanbul, Turkey. Turkey to Panama and then panama to Barbados. The trip from Panama to Barbados is via COPA Airlines which is a Panamanian airlines and they have an agreement with Turkish Airlines.

So you are going to get your entire itinerary/ airline ticket from Turkish Airlines and when you check in your luggage from Nigeria, you will get your luggage at your final destination which is Barbados.

I don't suggest you travel through Brazil. I think you will need a transit visa if you do. The route through Istanbul and panama is your best bet. As long as you don't leave the airport in Istanbul Turkey while transiting and your transit wait time at the airport is no longer than 12 hours in Panama, you don't need a transit visa.

Istanbul airport is not good for ecowas passport to have transit. Many African passengers are blocked at Istanbul airport because they connect with Turkish air to transit Panama to Caribbean island or South America, when you arrive at Istanbul airport for transit, if you want to board your next flight Panama, the passenger will be blocked. They will ask you to show the original letter of invitation of the country you are going If your passport is visa-free for the country you are traveling in, you will not be able to fly through Istanbul Airport to transit Panama. You want to be blocked. The only best way is Sao Paulo Airport

The chat trail on getting a flight to Jamaica has been helpful, however, I still need some more advice:
1. I called Turkish Airlines Abuja to get a single ticket transiting through Istanbul and the link via Copa airlines (Panama) and I was informed that I will need to source for a reliable travel agent who can prepare the itinerary with a single PNR cos they can't access that portal.
My request is can you recommend a reliable agent that specializes on this route (Abuja- Istanbul -Panama then to Jamaica)
2. My 2nd question what happens if the transiting time in Panama goes beyond their stipulated time?
Is there a need for a Panamanian transit visa? If yes, where can it be gotten because their embassy is not in Nigeria? Thank you

For those having flight issues to Jamaica I think you can travel via carpe verde.

That's from Nigeria to Carpe Verde and then Carpe Verde to Jamaica .

Very cool that way not sure transit Visa will be needed .

Also:

https://antiguaobserver.com/antigua-airways-will-soon-operate-direct-flights-from-west-africa/

According to this week’s Cabinet notes, a new airline called Antigua Airways will soon be permitted to operate flights from West Africa directly to Antigua.

The company is financed by wealthy Africans who wish to open a new route between the African continent and the Eastern Caribbean.

Hello, I am planning this trip for November 2022. Its not an easy route but this is what I found to get to jamaica with as few of visas as possible.
It needs to be Turkish airways. You cannot go to Panama because the layover is 13 hours and it must be less than 12 hours in order to not need a transit visa. So to get around that book to havana, cuba or bogata, Columbia. Both of these visas can be done online. And then from Bogata or havana you can book with Copa Airlnes to get to Montego bay or Kingston. Kingston has more flights than Montego Bay.

So Itinerary looks like this

Turkish Airways:
Lagos
Istanbul
Bogata/Havana

Copa Airlines
Bogata/Havana
Panama
Montego Bay/Kingston, JA

Hope this helps

I have a summit in Jamaica by Jan, I'm at the risk of losing this opportunity because the organizers can't find a route that wouldn't require multiple visas for entry.
