Three persons have been reportedly dead in a fatal crash, which occured Sunday, at about 7:15am along Obada, in Ewekoro Local government area of Ogun State 

According to a statement by the Public Education Officer for Sector Commander FRSC Ogun Sector Command, Florence Okpe, a total of five persons were involved, while two persons sustained injuries, unfortunately the others three lost their lives.

She added that two vehicles were involved, a Volvo mini truck with registration number AKM489ZY and a Nissan car with no registration number attached.

“The suspected cause of the crash was Route violation on the part of the Truck driver which resulted to head on collision 

“The injured victims were taken to General hospital Abeokuta for Medical attention and the corpses were deposited at the same hospital morgue”, she said 

Meanwhile, the Sector Commander FRSC Ogun Sector Command, Ahmed Umar, has commiserated with the family of the crash victims and advised motorists to avoid route violation completely. 

He added that safety is everybody business especially in this season of high vehicular movement, saying that everyone should drive cautiously and obey traffic rules and regulations.
