Officers of the Nigeria Police Force, Adatan Area Command, is currently conducting an investigation in a case of Lexus 350 car theft involving a member of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter, Com. Taiwo Mayowa and another suspect, Mr. Saburi Apesin.

According to facts obtained from a reliable source, the suspects named above (Taiwo and Saburi) both work as temporary staff to the Car Owner, Mr. Johnson Ayesoro, as Personal Assistant and Driver respectively.

The event which occured on 14th of February witnessed a scenario where the custodian of the car, already put on sale, was manipulated with fake alert and the car was reportedly stolen on the spot. This was said to have led to the involvement of Adatan Area Command on the instruction of the new Commissioner for Police, Mr. Frank Mba.

Following the arrest and release of the Driver, Saburi Apesin, further investigations revealed suspicious engagements involving the Personal Assistant, Taiwo Mayowa, who suddenly stayed away from Abeokuta to prevent arrest from Policemen of the command despite several efforts to bring him to questioning.

However, on Friday March 3, 2023, Taiwo was eventually arrested at his father’s residence in Elega area of Abeokuta and has since been detained at Adatan Area Command for statement and questioning.

Details of the sudden disappearance of the car remains sketchy as Officers of the Nigeria Police Force continue intensify investigation with Apesin and Taiwo as their prime suspects.
