My wife applied for her academic transcript at the University of Benin since January 2023, but as of May 2023 (today), she is yet to receive it. The application and payment was done online, but the staff in charge of issuing the transcripts are demanding for kickbacks or bribes before processing it.

This act of corruption and delay in issuing academic transcripts is unacceptable and goes against the principles of transparency and fairness. I am sharing this information here to bring awareness to this issue and urge the University of Benin, especially the Vice chancellor, Professor Lillian Salami to take necessary actions to address this problem.

Students and alumni have the right to access their academic records without any undue influence or delay. It is my hope that by sharing this information, we can put an end to this corrupt practice and ensure that academic transcripts are issued in a timely and transparent manner at the University of Benin.

This corruption is specifically when getting Transcript from the Faculty of Education because it is not same with Faculty of Engineering.

If the right authority wants to act on this, I can provide the name of the key incompetent personnel here.

I applied for my uniben transcript since December 2022. Someone is pushing for me but the reply I keep getting is that my complete raw scores have not been found (accounting). Now its almost 6 months and the story is the same...i don't know how long it will take those people.... Very frustrating
