Afrobeats sensation Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, discovered his passion for music while studying communication media at Oxford Brookes University in the UK. At the age of 20, Burna Boy allegedly got banned from the UK due to his involvement in a gang-related crime and subsequent "jumping bail" during parole. Upon returning to Nigeria, he informed his family that he no longer wished to pursue a university education. Two days later, he co-hosted a morning radio program where he showed off his talent and played 'Freedom Freestyle' for the head of programs at the station, and it became the song of the week.
