This comparison is not necessary in my opinion. How do you explain the fact that labour and cost of products and services differ across countries? 6 Likes |

Stop looking at the exchange rate With 50M naira, I can still enjoy same amenities as enjoyed anywhere around the world. Excellent health plan, good estate , Education etc. I may even be better off than the dude in US or the cities mentioned by you as tax is so cool in Nigeria. Am better off with 50m annually in Nigeria 15 Likes 1 Share |

Nah… In UK 50 million naira translates to £71,428 per annum. Even if 50% goes to taxes, utilities, rent and other deductions, £35,714 is more than enough to live a very comfortable life. Even if you’re a family man with a wife and 2 kids depending solely on you. 12 Likes |

50M naira annually amounts to 4.15m per month which is over 8k USD. An average person earns $4k monthly in the US. There's no way someone will consider you poor for earning double of their average salary per annum. 11 Likes 3 Shares |

A big fat lie. Earnings alone do not define poverty. If you're earning that amount and living in Nigeria, you can afford bits of luxury here and there. The person in the States earning such amount will definitely have more expenses than you. What matters most is what's left after you must have covered your needs. 2 Likes |

Una don start again? Comparing a third world country with the likes of USA. The standards are not the same. Do you have basic amenities in naija? Do you have emergency services? Do you have retirement benefits? You see retirees fighting for their rights and in the end nothing. I can go on and on. Just don't compare. 7 Likes |

Leave the op. He does not know what he is talking about. Not up to half of all Americans earn that amount annually! Note also that some one on that salary range hardly ever rent a house. They tend to buy a house n sublet to one or two peoples who end up paying the mortgage on the property! So op be mindful how u analyse... Grupo: 1 Like |

Different currencies, different way of living, different cost of products and services. Rent is expensive in the US and UK than Nigeria While food, internet and other basic things (aside accommodation) are cheaper there than Nigeria. My take 5 Likes |
