Truly unlimited. Not those our fake unlimited that comes with data throttling after 500gig.

It comes with throttling after 1tb. Throttled to nothing more than 1mbps

The point has been made. If one person can several people can no matter were they are in Nigeria.

How many areas even in Lagos have the 5G coverage talkless of 100Mbps?

81 communities have 5g in lagos state, that is good considering the fact that it is a new technology

It costs way more than that. Those figures are from official dollar rate which doesn't work in Nigeria. You pay in dollars, not Naira
So I heard.

Lmao, most broadband receive signals from satellite in space, even mtn has a low orbit satellite in space for the services they offer in Nigeria, dstv too.

So satellite internet and tv is nothing new. Starlinks just have a better marketing

Oga no dey quote what you not sure of. Other network providers uses one satellite on space .

Starlink launched thousands of small satellite orbiting below and accurate distance specific for internet data.

Satellite mtn and other network users use got targets...starlink covers the earth ( even on sea you are covered) .

And please don't quote me again if u make arguments on your imagination.

I will even say fiber internet is faster than starlinks...i am sure you wont also believe that.

So you spend 10 plus naira on streaming football every weekend when you can get a dstv, pay a monthly sub and watch your football without stress grin
Your first statement is a big lie though, go and check the average speed of fibre internet before bringing that argument here. Let me put it to you, have you ever clocked a download or internet connectivity speed of 50Mbps with MTN and other network service provider before??
I've provided an answer to your second statement, don't think you're the only wise person around. You don't expect me to waste money on subscription when the light is often off and getting fuel is a big wahala too.

There is nothing like unlimited data...unlimited data is a marketing word.

Starlinks is capped at 1T, once you exhaust that, the speed falls, it is in their FUP. Yeah the sub is cheap but the installation is expensive.

What are you guys doing with 80k worth of internet, are you into live streaming or playing live games even watching netflix everday on hd isnt up to 45k( 360gB)
Chelsea match alone took 3GB off my data yesterday, that's just for a single match.
I used average of 10GB daily on week days, especially when my kids tab is connected to watch video reals and comedy skits.
My smart TV also take significant amount of data daily, abi what is essence of buying a smart TV if you can't stream visuals ?

I wasn't the guy that quoted you on spending 10k every weekend on streaming football matches. Read my reply again, I've stopped streaming football matches live for a while now so as to save money. The electricity supply is epileptic, fuel is scarce etc. So subscribing monthly right now is a huge waste of money when I won't even watch anything apart from football matches on the said DStv and there's an epileptic electricity supply and fuel is scarce. Football viewing centre is where I go to watch matches now with just #200.

Ooh sorry for misquoting you.

I agree with you

yeah, even when I stream with my phone, for instance Chelsea match alone took 3gb off my data yesterday night.

I thought you said you also sub for dstv, so why then do you need to waste 3gb on streaming chelsea vs Fulham, when you can watch it on your dstv with a dstv compact plus plan of 14,250.

14,250/30 days = 475 naira per day

Mtn 3 gb is 1500× 10 matches = 15k

Literally on dstv compact plus, you will get more than 10 matches per month for 14,250.

This is cheaper than using data to stream football.

It is either you are lieing or cooking up numbers

DSTV don't show many of the league's I watch, as I am typing this I am streaming the match between Deccan Vs Churchill Brothers in India I- league.
I make good money from football betting, so I dedicate my time to watch from even amateur leagues in Europe.
I watched 7 matches in total yesterday alone.

It is not a lie, i have used cable internet aka fibre to home internet, the one that comes with cable installations and i had speed of 100Mbps

On fiber one, you can get 500Mbp but it expensive

I dont even know what to believe again...but it is all good, even if you are streaming with hypernetflex at 3 gb per match and 10 games per day.

3gb ×10matches = 30gb ×30days = 900gb

So you are telling me you spend all your day watching football

Mtn HyNetflex dont have 900 gb plan, so you are telling me you spend 150k ( 1.5tb) to watch football monthly.

This is unbelievable

Starlinks isn't the first broadband internet service provider in Nigeria. Like there are many and even with their cheap subcription, they still find it hard to get customers.

Btw, MTN will beat starlinks in terms of affordability, mobility, accessibility and sometimes speed.

Starlink on the other hand seems like a service targetted to commercial entities
It's the first Satellite Data provider in Nigeria.

About 43USD. They are now charging in Naira.
They do not charge in Naira. That is just a reference price, (what the price is supposed to be if we're buying with the bank rate exchange rate). I tried ordering yesterday with my mastercard, declined. Will wait for the AfriGo Card to go live. Buying with blackmarket rate will be close to half a mil

Lol... This fellow has no clue how the Starlink satellite service works; he's asking what rural coverage level is and even comparing it with MTN that has to install masts every 5-10km before their service can get to an area.

Oga, Starlink did not have to install a single mast or hardware on ground to achieve 100% network coverage around Nigeria.

And on whether it is affordable for rural users; it is affordable, convenient and excellent for those who can afford it (not every commodity is meant for the masses you know).
