You no get talk abeg. lap claim to be a saint party when you are held accountable you start wailing why not hold PDP n APC in same light. Same you know APC chairman was caught taking bribe life, make we no talk about Odo with share the money mantra. If Nigerians can't hold LP accountable to the saint party you claim them to be the you should never comment when they rate them as criminal parties like APC n pdp ever again. LOVEALAIGBO: 2 Likes |

They are now calling Abure an APC mole What do Obidients want.... Obidients said that Lamidi apapa was sent by APC to destroy the party They said that the Labour congress joe ajaero was sent by APC to destroy LP Now Julius Abure is the new mole sent by APC to destroy Labour Party . They have never taken accountability to settle issues in LP before. Always blaming others for their misfortune! 3 Likes 1 Share

PDPdestroyer: Don't say what you don't know. It's the turn of Esan to produce governor. LP left Esan and brought Edo north. APC made that mistake, but quickly changed it to an Esan man. I knew Akpata won't fly. LP missed it badly 1 Like |

PDPdestroyer:That CANNOT be true. There are folks who are indigenes of Edo State with Yoruba names. Some may claim not to be Yorubas (especially in the Akoko Edo axis who say they are Igarras with shared ethnic ancestries with Ebiras of Kogi State) but they bear Yoruba names due to cross-cultural interactions over the centuries with Yorubaland. The hugely popular former Bendel State Governor under the Chief Obafemi Awolowo-led Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) Professor Ambrose Folorunso Alli's father was an Esan from Ekpoma, (now in Edo State) while his mother was from Idoani in Ondo State. For the Bini-Edo axis, there are families that have roots in Yorubaland as a result of the large trading communities that were set up centuries ago. Same thing too with Bini-Edo trading communities in Yorubaland especially In Akure and other parts of Ondo State such as Igbara Oke. The name Akpata (which spelling with the letter "K" is derived from the Yoruba spelling Apata) suggests an Edo link with the Akure area who then moved back to Edo where they came from. The quarters of the Ado Akures (Edo Akures) still exists today in Akure and some still maintain contact with their family compounds in Benin. They have become Yorubanized though with mixed Yoruba and Bini-Edo heritages. Even the internationally recognized Ifa religion and names of "some" of the religious deities in Benin such as Ogun, Osun, etc, have their roots in Yorubaland. Long and short is that there's NO way Edos would reject an Edo indigene simply because he bears the name Olumide Akpata. Asue Ighodalo too has a Yoruba name (just like his brother Pastor Ituah Olajide Ighodalo) because his distinguished Yoruba mother of Ife origin was the first female permanent secretary in Nigeria, while his father too was an Esan-Edo Prince. The Esans historically migrated from Benin to their current location. 1 Like 1 Share |

Im not understanding. Is Labor Party unaware of the politics of each of the 36 states in Nigeria? Anyone who has their ears on ground in Edo State, would know the long overdue power rotation to Edo Central. APC and PDP knew this and chose a candidate accordingly, even Osho couldn't stop it. Im not understanding LP's rationale here. |
