This is just another white elephant project. But at least we don't have to keep seeing Okitipupa and Idanre while going home.

All these just so that they will not open up the ports in the South Eastern part of this country?

How many Calabar people are doing import and export business?

Once Biafra comes, this one na tourist attraction.

Is this the same coastal road that will pass through Lekki - Epe ?

Yes.

Especially through Epe, Abijo, Lekki, Sangotedo, Ibeju Lekki through Ogun then to other Coastal States in the South.

Buhari’s Railway from Kano to Maradi in Niger Republic will be cancelled soon for lack of economic value.

The money will be used to complete the Coastal project.

All the iron rods are imported, this is where I work and I was there when Umahi was around
dealslip:

Have you been to the steel rod factories in Ikorodu? Government need not import any rod. We have locally made steels in Nigeria

I hope they don't abandon it immediately it crosses Lagos, Osun, Ogun. I don't trust these Yorubas again in anything.

If they can complete it, it would be masterpiece.

That is their plan ... but my South South people are too daft to understand

imagine the quantityof steel rods that road is going to consume..

Now imagine that those rods are manufactured locally.. the jobs that would be created..

Government should be sincere about reviving the steel sector.. it can create millions of jobs and fetch the much needed fx..

We produce most of the iron rod locally. At least 5 that I know in the west.

What's Otunba Gbenga Daniel doing there with his ever smiling face? Anyway, he's an engineer like Dave Umahi
I like the concrete road technology being used here. The roads will last longer being that the Lagos to Calabar route is essentially gonna pass through areas that have high water tables that would lead to the roads being quickly damaged.
At last, the long-awaited Coastal highway construction has kicked off. Kudos to everyone who made this happen.
Lagos to Calabar... It's full steam ahead!

Gbenga Daniel is a Senator and like other Senators, performing their Oversight Functions and I hope they continue to do that on this 700 Km Coastal Roads Construction.
They should also ensure that the •Railway have access to Lights,at this New Age of 21St Century because even in China, they already have Track less - Railway and Train!
Nigerians can't wait to see the Completion of this Great Project!
Kudos to Hon Umahi.
Kudos to President Tinubu, for getting this right!

South Does not have access to the sea. The Onne port is there to be used. My thought is that this is a wonderful project that will open up our entire coastal areas for investment

It's understandable Lagos keep giving you pain n agony free of charge.

That was how it gave your forefathers like Azikwe Ojukwu Ekwueme till their death, it will keep giving it to you too to your doom n your children n their children will also inherit the pain Lagos will keep giving you over it development because Lagos won't stop developing for you to have joy.

Your pain n agony over Lagos development is till eternity for you n all your likes that hate development of Lagos.

Your stupidity is a marvel. What Lagos are you claiming? The Lagos that more than 80% of the population is not native to Lagos. Even Igbos enjoy more benefits in this lagos than you that is claiming it for yourself

The would have been more useful building deep sea ports in each of the coastal cities and having freight movement from Lagos to calabar by sea , this will make the cost of freight cheaper.

Building coastal roads will duplicate the function of Lagos Benin expressway, increasing road maintenance costs deepening wrong utilization of funds and also limiting access to maritime economy for niger delta coastal, this is pure waste of scarce funds

Building deep seaport across is no child's play bro. Calabar port can be given what you stated above to serve the southeast and south South. Truck and rail movement would be quickly completed using the Lagos Calabar coastal highway thereby reducing the age long congestion on Lagos Ibadan expressway.

While the one at hand has been completed, attention can be shifted to other place.
