https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxu51xz1N0U Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets of Niger’s capital to demand the departure of United States troops, after the military government further shifted its strategy by ending a military accord with the US and welcoming Russian military instructors. https://www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2024/4/13/hundreds-protest-in-niger-demanding-departure-of-us-troops 9 Likes

God1000: To me it's a good strategy if the leaders are really serious about it. How? This will leave impression for the incoming foreign power that if they do anyhow they'll also be kick out. So the incoming foreign one might do far better as the leaders will hold them tight. Anyway, this is Africa the leaders can still betray their people. 66 Likes 8 Shares |

They are messing with the right guy and embracing the wrong guy. How can Russians help them with their dwindling economy ? Russia, which has an economy lesser than California, cannot support Niger in the long haul. I care less what happens to Niger, I am just worried with having the Russians at Nigeria door posts. 14 Likes 1 Share |

Emusan: To an extent I disagree, reason is that Russia is already invited by almost all thewise. African countries taking over by the military and we all know the frosty relationship between US and Russia at the moment. This will greatly rub off anywhere they both have interest either business or security wise |
