There have been so many fake news about academic ranking on social media.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has denied a social media report that claimed Abia State was the best-performing state in this year’s May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).

WAEC clarified that it does not engage in ranking candidates’ performance based on their states, as its exams are international.

The Head of Public Affairs unit of WAEC, Mrs. Moyosola Adesina, stated that the organization had consistently clarified this position and disassociated itself from the report rating Abia State as the best-performing.

WAEC emphasised its commitment to maintaining its integrity and not being drawn into political controversies.

WAEC noted that it has not yet determined the best national candidate for its school-based examination this year and will make the information public once it is available.

The organisation urged the public to disregard any reports claiming the best-performing state in its exams, as they are considered fake news.

WAEC You don't need to rank performance by States
Moreover you don't serve only Nigeria..

Just release the results and the necessary data for Nigeria...

Organizations like NBS or statistics sense will do the rankings and analytics..

But it is easier to rank them on IGR, population and landmass.

Nothing stops us from ranking states based on their educational status.

National Bureau of Statistics should delve into academics too. They shouldn’t be reading prices of goods only.

You provide raw data, and organizations like Statisense, NBS etc will do the ranking.

The truth must be analysed, whether it sits well with tribal bigots or not..

The survey mentions Abia as the best performing state remains corrects. No emotions can change that.. grin

Mohamoodu surulahi, WAEC is an exam body, when they are done with their exams, other survey organizations will take the data generated by WAEC and do a statistical analysis to produce facts.. Your emotion is not in anyway factored in.. Facts are sacred. grin

Lmaooooooo!

I remember faulting EponObi for not calling his foul-mouthed Obidients to order. They even went as far as laying curses on INEC, Yakubu, and the Tribunal judges, publicly online but the dolt did as if he's blind and deaf to the insults - person wey dey shout "a new Nigeria is P🤡ssible". The 62 year-old, male-girl child crooner 😭 who claimed to be a youth, white as snow, and the messiah watched (as if he is innocent) while his army marketed his candidacy with lies, insult, curses, intimidation, blackmail, manipulation, propaganda and stealing. It's that fake innocence and his deceptions that I hate about him. And mind you, he wines and dines with those top influenzas that orchestrate the abusive online behaviors of his sheep - but he will want you to think he knows nothing about it.

The propaganda he and his cult thinks they are master of is the same thing APC is using to dismantle his charade. 😭 If you're blind, I will tell you for free - APC is set to demarket him before 2027. Fact 💯.

What Reno did with the $10,000 challenge is just the beginning. They will slow bleed his brand until there's nothing left before 2027. And the coksucker has made their job very easy by falling into Reno's trap when he did that flop male-girl child press conference. 😂

Obi go dey press the neck of Asiwaju's administration in the media with his out of place critisism, but Tinubu has never for once replied him - not even with a single tweet. Na Atiku him dey always reply. Ordinary Reno wey no fit win election in his ward critized him, the man-baby, with voice like that of a drunkard rushed to do press conference. 😭 My father, my father!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

When I tell you Obi is still in Primary 2 in Nigeria politics and Tinubu is an Emeritus, believe! Only a naive, shallow minded, and short sighted politician will fall for such cheap trick. I swear, Dino Melaye is more political savy than that Ekute. 🤣

Since he has confirmed Reno was right, at the disappointment of those slowpoke Obidients who ran to the four corners of the world to find "images of the schools their principal built" 😂 (that press conference must have 'wunjured' them seriously 🤣)... Like a whole Obi - the okwute, the el-shadi, 😂 the abido shaker, bahose, cidaniel, santus sanitoriel, ribado, sepray - didn't build a single school - not even the foundation of a kindergarten school - for 8 years as governor? 😮 Now whatever propaganda APC cooks to destroy Obi through Reno will be automatically believed by the masses to be true. Na why I said Obi is naive.

100 years from now, there's no way Obi will become president because he doesn't have what it takes. Even Yahyah Bello will become president before him. Obi just doesn't have the range - all he has is the support of his rabid Obidients - the mf doesn't even have political gladiators from his region fighting for his ambition. If you think twitter threads are what will make him president, dey play! If the battle is between Atiku and Obi alone, Atiku will defeat him 103 times in 100 elections. Facts 💯.

Na Obi go price market ooo 😂 Na jeje APC and the Y a r i b a dey before him go poke them. Now they will show him why they are the kings of media propaganda. People wey commot a sitting president of the biggest black nation on earth with propaganda - na dem the dullard wan play games with? Dey play! I'm watching 😂

The next thing I think APC will do focus on that $50m brewery Obi blessed his family business with. Walahai, the poor will breeethh, but the Agulu champion will not breeeeeeeethhhhhh. 😂

It's demarketing season, baby ✌️

U are an educated fellow bro, U claim to have studied Geophysics and I would want to assume you are a readee too

WAEC has to clarify their stance on this matter and telling them not to would mean that we lovers of facts who like rely on verifiable stats from his original source would go about defending "Propaganda Stats" as being authentic

THE HATE FOR SOUTH EAST IS BECOMING SO OBVIOUS AND UNAVOIDABLE EVEN FROM THE HELMS OF AFFAIRS. WITH THIS SORT OF MENTALITY, HOW DID THIS MAN QUALIFY TO HEAD AN INSTITUTION LIKE WAEC. WHEN HE CAN HARDLY COMPREHEND THAT SURVEY AND ANALYTICAL INSTITUTIONS ARE DIFFERENT AND EAGER TO PROVIDE STATISTICS FOR THE WORLD?

ODIGOKWA EGWU Ọ (IT HAS BECOME SCARY O)

But the truth remains, the South East is a seedling, more they collectively dig ground to bury the South East, the more they sprout out in million shoots
Making a million Irokos.

First, Stop being petty the world doesn't revolve around you

Second, I never studied Geophysics, emotional people like you don't usually get their facts right before commenting...
I studied GIS, mathematics and Statistics

Finally, like said WAEC has no business ranking performance by state, that's the job of NBS or other organization like statistics sense to do...
So wonder why anyone will believe the news that WAEC ranked performances...

486 miracle centers was closed down in Anambra after Peter Obi's tenure. The centers Peter Obi used in manipulating results to get a 1st position in WAEC that has never existed coz the examination body has debunked ranking states performance in examinations.Everything about this man is just a fraud.
Re: WASSCE: We Don’t Rank States’ Performance – WAEC Or Schools by seguntijan(m): 11:48am On Apr 26
Under Peter Obi, Anambra was the world headquarters for exam fraud. It got so bad that immediately after his term ended, his successor had to shut down 486 exam fraud centres that had been allowed to flourish under Peter Obi to fraudulently bump up Anambra's position on the NECO and WAEC league table

Four hundred eighty-six exam malpractice centres can't exist in only one state without the state government knowing about them.

That is why, after the forceful closure of those centres for fraud, Anambra gradually began to fall on the NECO/WAEC league table.

I challenge Peter Obi to sue me if I am lying. He governed under the largest exam malpractice scheme known to human history while he was Anambra Governor.
Re: WASSCE: We Don’t Rank States’ Performance – WAEC Or Schools by seguntijan(m): 11:49am On Apr 26
Anambra did not become number one in NECO exams because Peter Obi invested in education. Rather, the state, under Peter Obi, had become notorious as the headquarters for exam fraud in Nigeria. That was why when Peter Obi's tenure ended in March 2014, his successor, Willie Obiano, closed down 486 exam malpractice centres in July 2014, that had been established and were flourishing under Peter Obi around the state. That was Peter's legacy in education.

And that is why Anambra gradually lost its top position in NECO after Obi's tenure. Because succeeding governors refused to continue along those lines. For example, last year, Adamawa even outperformed Anambra. The secret was not any investment Obi was making in the education sector, because the truth is that Peter Obi was more focused on building beer breweries for Anambra than schools. The secret was the exam magic malpractice centres-Reno Omokri
