So Dangote increased cement price so that he will use part of the excess profits to distribute rice as a ploy to make people see him as a philanthropist rather than exploitative. This cabals have turn Nigerians into IDPs with their imposed hardships.

And that is one black man's opinion to which every Dick, Obina, Okonkwo and a dog is entitled to their own opinion. By the way, your opinion does not worth a kobo. What have you given out?

Business / Re: Earning ₦200K Monthly In Nigeria Is Better Than Β£2000 In UK - Allen Onyema by erico2k2(m): 4:41pm
komzy589:

I’m sorry, it will cost you less than half of what you quoted there. I just supervised the installation of a 3.5kva solar solution, total cost is N3.2m.
This will serve you a minimum of 3years before servicing. Servicing will definitely not cost more than half the installation price.
We’re all scholars here. You don’t have to exaggerate to make your point.
Someone earning Β£2k is not bigger than a 200k salary earner in Naija. They are only making more money for circulation than their Naija counterparts.
The thing you failed to realise is that there is different standards of living. Those who lived abroad for years and decides to return to Nigeria will have higher standars.Let me take my house for example of equipments in it.My part is a 4 bed duplex so I have
4X LCD tv
1x 8kg washing machine
1 x standing AC in living room 2HP
4x1.5HP A/C
1x standing tower fridge
1x standing tower freezer
4x water heater
2x water Dispensers
1xsumo pump of 1HP
1x kitchen Smoke extractor
So on validation I will need at least a 7.5KW set up.,howmuch do you think that will set me back?

Now back to Β£2k,Just so you know this is how much most people earn as single individuals AKA minimum wage. So they can let a room for Β£700(London) All inclusive and eat Β£200 a month and nothing more to pay than transport which is less than Β£100 a month. If they drive then say Β£120 in fuel and Β£130 on insurance. You buy clothes according to occasions. you are still left with more than Β£500 savings which is almost N1m sent to your 1st bank account.
9ja N200k, studio flats N50 to 60K per month average. Transport? N30K a month, feeding N60k plus fuel for Gen N20k plus, Money done, you cant even survive let alone talk abut savings.

Where is Charlie Patino? Hope say them never forget that guy.

Roland17

Charlie has struggled this year for minutes, especially since the arrival of new coach. He continues to show high technical abilities on the ball but struggles with the physical aspect of the game, which is why we sent him to the Championship versus the EPL.

In Charlie's defense though, under this coach, he is being used as a 8 (DLP) as against a 10 where he thrives, it is like playing Odegaard as an 8 or a CM in a double pivot. I still believe he can come good for Arsenal. I would like to see Arteta take him to our next preseason tour in the summer.

Additional questions for CE members based on the two videos below.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0gJL1ciXbA?si=ONPVlTH0RRTm-jhF

Did the lady on the voiceover, Pastor Chris and others give the impression that they were healed?
Why do they all have similar celebrations and a striking pattern?
Why do a lot who are waiving their hands still look dejected if you look closely?
Could they all get off wheelchairs and stretchers before this meeting?
Was the impression painted that they could not get off a wheelchair etc?
Why are they all celebrating in the same way, hands up etc?
If pastor Chris does do Miracles, why would he need to fake some or deceive the public of a false perception of healings taking place?
Is pastor Chris really like your regular church preacher who has one or two so called miracles with loads of trickery added to increase numbers?

How many percent do you think were healed?
How many of these were portrayed as being healed from the videos you watched?

I await your response to these questions from Christ embassy members.

sirpharrell:

I have read the original post from 2008 and most of the comments defending the Pastor. I was desperately searching for that one comment that will prove that the accusations were false. behold, the more I read the defences put up by the CE members the more I got convinced that they have nothing to counter the damning eye witness accounts and evidences provided by the accusers. And here are the questions still left answered for the past 16 years or so.

1. What really is the need and purpose of a healing school and making it compulsory for the sick to attend before they can qualify to be healed? There is no record of a healing school anywhere in the Bible.

2. The obvious answer to question 1 would be to teach you and fortify your faith. A follow up question is must one have faith in order to receive a miracle? Were all the miracles performed by our Lord Jesus as a result of the faith of the receiver? Are there no miracles performed out of mercy for the receiver, even if he or she is not strong in faith?

3. Why did the Tebego girl in South Africa use two different wheelchairs on the same day of her supposed healing? For me, this is the most damning evidence to corroborate the claims that she could actually walk and didn't come to the healing school with any wheelchair. I noticed that since 2008, the CE members have been avoiding this particular question.

I hope someone can really answer these questions instead of beating around the bush.

That's a lie right there! That 2k pounds will do a lot more than what 200k naira can do in Naija. The difference will even be too much to compare.

Culture / Re: Benin Was A Yoruba speaking Empire. by oyatz(m): 4:39pm
lawani:

No. Can you say Itsekiri or Ugbodu people or Akure are mixing Yoruba and Bini?. The language of Ugbodu people is the real language of Benin city in the past. How ever all languages borrow words from adjacent languages. In the case of Britain, if the British empire were built by the monarchy we would be speaking French today instead of English. We are speaking English only because the empire was built by commoners. They still speak French among the English aristocracy

You still need some studies in History, Sociology and Linguistics.

* No society remain exactly the same for a very long time and as such, their languages change over time.

Languages evolve into modern ones or even new languages if they absorb too much foreign words into it.

The Language spoken in Ilesha, Akure, Owo , Benin to Itsekiri in 1654 were very similar but these languages evolved over time to their present stages.

You will need a special dictionary to understand the English language used by Shakespeare to write his books 500yeaars ago.

The English, originally a Germanic language borrowed from Latin, Greek, French etc
