N600k/month Income Abroad After Tax OR N1.5M/month Income In Nigeria? by OnlineBusinessC(m): 1:17pm On Aug 19, 2021
Let's discuss guys.

So between : N600K/month income aboard after tax OR N1.5M/month income in Nigeria? Which is better?

When I say abroad, I definitely know the tier 1 or first world countries where its possible to have N600K/month after tax.

The N1.5M/month in Nigeria is definitely from an Entrepreneur.

When I say abroad, I definitely know the tier 1 or first world countries where its possible to have N600K/month after tax.

The N1.5M/month in Nigeria is definitely from an Entrepreneur.

Well I don’t know someone else’s motivation for going abroad but let me give you pointers from my own priorities.

1. Do you know how much fun having a road trip from Abuja to Lagos could have been? Clique of 6 friends, music, drinks, books, on the road... Abroad, yes. In Naija even the poor now save to take a flight cos of insecurity.

2. You have no guarantees here! You cannot project 36 months and say: “With what I earn, I’ll do this thing I always wanted to do. Who sigh? Naira devaluation on a weekly basis will show you the meaning of frustration.

3. Iron sharpeneth iron. According to Maslow hierarchy of needs, after you don chop Belleful na you go begin de curious about why plane de fly or why it’s not impossible to electrocute clouds to produce rain in a drought. Here in Nigeria, it’s still all about survival! No growth, just pure survival!

4. C’mon Brother man! Being alive is hard on its own. No matter where you are in the world being alive comes with pain and challenges. Western societies have learned to build communities that thrive on team work, country club homes, soccer mom clubs. Simple lifestyles that encourage unity. Here in Naija: “Make I go press, collect $15,000 from Maye then I go come tension Segun with my 2005 Benz GLE”

5. Trust! I would argue that it’s way easier to trust the government in Western Societies. Lack of trust kills; imagine how terrible it is dating a girl you cannot trust. It’ll drain you. Compare COVID-19 benefits in the US to the Palliative Looting in Nigeria last year. Here in Naija once you hear: “FG to build NGN65bn infrastructure in...”

You go sleep!

I learnt too late, when it comes to societies and standard of living, it’ll never be about money first.

Weigh your options

The 600k abroad might be constant and steady but you can do little with it abroad

But in nigeria if you are creative with 1.5 m you can flip it twice within few months because of the market here and many things to do in Naija only if you are smart and hardworking

Bear in mind that the 1.5m in Naija might not be stable or steady but you have options to diversify once you flip overtime
