God is not a man! Anthropomorphism is false!

Numbers 23:19:
"God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?"

1 Samuel 15:29:
"He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind."

Hosea 11:9:
"I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I devastate Ephraim again. For I am God, and not a human being—the Holy One among you. I will not come against their cities."

Isaiah 40:18
To whom will you liken God? To what image will you compare Him?

Isaiah 44:6-20
Thus says the LORD, the King and Redeemer of Israel, the LORD of Hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Who then is like Me? Let him say so! Let him declare his case before Me, since I established an ancient people. Let him foretell the things to come, and what is to take place...

Jesus couldn't foretell the hour in Matthew 24:36, Mark 13:32 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Isaiah 55:8-9:
"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts."

Psalm 50:21:
"These things you have done, and I have been silent; you thought that I was one like yourself. But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you."

Job 9:32-33:
"For he is not a man, as I am, that I might answer him, that we should come to trial together. There is no arbiter between us, who might lay his hand on us both."

So God is not man and can never become man!

God does not change:

Psalm 55:19 -
"God will hear and answer them—Even the one who sits enthroned from of old— Selah. With whom there is no change, And who do not fear God."

Malachi 3:6 -
"For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed."

So when did the Lord Change?

So when did the Lord Change?

These are from the Prophets God sent.

Watch them come to this thread and start using their own logic, the word of one philosopher, or one church father that God did not send to explain the nature of God to us.. how God is 3, yet 1; How God is not a man yet he became a man.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrew 13:8

Replace Jesus with God!

Jesus= God!

Jesus Christ is indeed God, but the same Scripture reveals that Jesus Christ is not the God that is YHWH, the God of Israel. the one to whom all the verses you posted in your OP make direct reference. undecided

In the same Scripture, you are presented with the possibility which is that the YHWH image, or at least the image of God — Let us make man in our image — can be created in a Man. God, in the beginning, created man(at least the first man and woman) in His image. so? undecided

How is Jesus a man God when God is not a man? God is never a man! Elohim can be used for God, Angel, gods and human!

So which image is your God? That of a man or that of woman?

A man's image has no protruding breasts!
A woman's image has two protruding breasts!

Which is the image of your God?

The title GOD has various meanings so when JEHOVAH said He is not a man He was telling His worshipers that His wisdom is extremely high for humans to reach His level of IQ. Isaiah 55:8-9

The title GOD could be used for human rulers and those who can perform supernatural signs that's why God Himself gave Moses and Jesus that title "God" {Exodus 7:1; Isaiah 9:6} and human rulers who doesn't have any regard for God's word! Psalms 82:6

Biblically Elohim can mean gods, angel, God, human,...

The "God" that is not man is Jehovah! And God does not become man!

God does not become man! This is not about the lesser usage of Elohim!

The point missing is name not title.

So JEHOVAH is not a man but that title GOD can be used for any person!

1. Your notorious penchant for quoting verses out of context and ignoring even the intentions of the author aside, the chopped statement you keep quoting is clearly about YHWH whom Balaam referred to in the same context as EL right after identifying Him by name. So, I fail to see why you are fixated on creating an issue where there ought to be none at all. These texts are thousands of years old, mind you! undecided

2. The Scripture I posted earlier clearly shows that God did not limit His image to a single gender in that situation. He created them both by His own hands. The passage did not say anything about gender being a part of God's Image but that God created them in His image, male and female He created them. So, why would He have a body issue such as the one you seem to be having at this moment? undecided

Good question.
It is instead a very terrible question. Numbers 16 for instance where He pulled one of his claims from clearly highlights the fact that Balaam, the one who made the statement, was speaking about God's decrees, not God's appearance or physical form. The moment you abandon context, you abandon the ability to ask reasonable, even good, questions. undecided

You are nitpicking a single quote and ignoring all the other places the god says he is not a man. Besides all of them make it make clear the god is supposedly not human whether in form or nature.
