I jst saw a thread on NL about materialistic daughters or so n I just tot I should say a lil sumfn because it seems that everytime the topic 'dating' comes up, guys are always quick to cal girls materialistic.
There is no doubt that alot of women are materialistic but those of us who arent that hav had d misfortune of dating a stingy guy or 2, what should we do? We should endure the aradite-handed treatment lest we are called materialistic?
There are alot of guys who find it very hard to spend a dime(and they can afford it oh) on their women, what woman wants to be with that kinda guy for the rest of her life? And when othr men complain, these ones also contribute. Personaly, I think a real guy should take care of his woman in his own capacity, no matter how small n if shes understanding, she'll stay.
Out of 100 guys calling girls materialistic, there are at least 30 them stingy as a hell but would rather call a girl materialistic than admit it. So NLanders, what do you think?

alot dear.. .it is so unusual. . strange for one to be thinking about material things at this time of the night.

i stay away from topics like this on Nl because no matter what you say or are trying to prove,every woman is seen as materialistic/gold-digging even when you are just expressing a desire to be pampered/spoilt by your man once in a while...

una too like money and material things .dat one na the honest truth .how a guy wey no dey earn much u go dey saddle am with problems like house rent,brazilian wig allowance,recharge card allowance,regular allowance for ur BB account etc.una n jus dey pity una boyfriend at all.a white girl for example go understand small if her boyfriend no get money and manage wit the guy but 4 a naija babe na diferent issue

where men start accusing women of being materialistic is when the girl sees the man as her ATM machine.

I respect women who know how to take care of themselves, and live within their capacity,
If you cant afford it don't ask the man to pay for it either, except it is an absolute necessity.

There are days that heart will cut me if a lady comes with her bills ,not now . I have bought enough phones ,done enough hairs that i choose the ones i will do,we will quarrel ,make up and the circle continues again.

What's the definition of stingyness . How can we quantify it ? Does it have degrees ? Personally this issue has been constant in my r/ships cos i spend my money on percentages ,if i spend more than five thousand on my gf in a month ,you won't get any other thing till the next month ,if i eventually do ,i will shorten the next month own. What i don't understand is how a lady that does not spend any money on me will turn back and call me stingy. What actually is stingyness ? I want a working definition from the ladies. Is there not something like prudent spending ? Should i give what will affect my purse negatively to my gf because she gives me to.to and forget that there is a place called tomorrow. . . .. Forget my plans and projects ? Let's be reasonable here.
