I'm regretting not buying Big Treat (because I didn't trust the Chinese, despite that I liked Big Treat back in the day) and Japaul Oil (because I didn't have enough info about the company). Now I'm paying through my nose to get these stocks at the 2nd market. Guys, is there any stock you didn't buy that is now hurting you?Let's hear from you. Some nlanders might learn from this.

My guy

Don't beat yourself at all on these offers, you have more opportunities coming your way. I don't know much about big treat. For Japaul Oil, those who bought into the offer should be praying for the management not declare Dividend and Bonuses. If they do, this will wipe out most of the gains that is been shown on NSE right now before they get their cert. Check First bank situation, remember when the TS was lifted, the stock rallied up to 54-58. Once 1st bank declared bonuses and Dividends for the year, the share price was marked down as well.

No need crying over split milk

How about thinking of "good stocks that you will buy"?

Although I think I understand how you feel, 'cos I have beaten myself up before for joining the party late but
I have snapped out of it.

I finally bought Japaul at the secondary market this week @ N10.11k. Guess what, some one said the the price dropped to N8.05k (need to confirm). No qualms. That's the way stock goes. Still waiting to snatch some units of Big Treat.

Yeah, i regret not also buying Big Treat, International Brewery, Zenith Bank (in its first IPO) and Oceanic Bank. But i had a big smile late 2007 when i snapped a huge number of International Energy Insurance stocks at N1.90k (check out the present price).

Insurance stocks seems to be doing pretty well. Especially with the low entry prices.

I dithered about Wema when it was N4 and then forgot all aobut it due to the distractions of life. Right now its on TS at N15, with rumours of Chinese and European banks sniffing around for a piece of the action. Well, I gues that's the way the cookie crumbles. grin grin grin
