This is not an election organized by Nairaland but by Igbos on Nairaland. Being a Mod does not stop one from being an eze.

I am currently doing that just that you can't open many threads on Nairaland, you have to wait for some time after opening one. Be assure that in few minutes from now you will definitely see our advert on your section.

Igbo are one, with unity and love we shall get to the promise land.

I vote Eziachi and Dede1, they're experienced and very wise.

Thank for your observation. The electoral team if I may speak for them are of the opinion that being a Mod does not hinder from serving as Eze. Besides the current rule does not exclude Igbo Mods from contesting, and I don't think it best at this time to change the rule in the middle of the game.

Please let's keep the nominations coming in. We need the best Igbomen where ever they are to answer this noble call. To put our best foot forward is the essence the nominations process. This is where we have control, what happens at the poll, we cannot control!

I am sorry to inform that i have not been permitted to open thread again on other sections of Nairaland, i have been asked to wait for some minutes and this is taking more than 45mins now still i am not allow to open thread.@Crazyman i promised to update your section NYSC but as you can see i am still waiting to gain permission from Nairaland for opening more threads.

I'm really impressed with this thread and how organised it is. The fact that its being coordinated by a member who's not a mod even impresses me the more.

I didn't participate in the first election and that may explain why I regularly had disagreements with Onlytruth during his soon to be elapsed tenure - especially when he started backing Peter Obi which I saw as a support of retrogression.

Having said that. I respect the opinions so far on the thread (except of course those of our almajiri 'neighbors' who have no job but trolling). For the Eze, I would appreciate someone that will not be bias when assessing our leaders, whether governors or whoever, Someone that will promote the return of Igbo investments to AlaIgbo (Yep. we need to start rediscovering ourselves). Someone that is, pragmatic rich with igbo history and will not easily be swayed by opinions of nincompoops all over this site. I see odumchi is leading the pack already but I don't even know him that much, I don't see him in the field. We don't need someone that is not active. And I think his being a MOD as was stated earlier will really tie his hands (I may be wrong).

Finally, I don't believe in the entity called Nigeria. It is never realistic anyway, so I will nominate the people that share this same same ideas. Its on these premise that I nominate the following.

Being among those who participated in the first Eze NdiIgbo Nairaland election last year i feel delighted that the successful tenure of HRH Eze Onlytruth is coming to an end and Umu Igbo has decided that he contest the election again which is ok by me. I was initially skeptical about his election when he joined charlertans like Chino, NriPriest and some confussed low self esteem Anambara chaps to desparade enugu state and keep mute when these hawks moved from thread to thread concerning various Igbo states and our Igbo brothers in Delta state(ANIOMA) to derail it with their embarassing and provocative "i better pass you" attitudes. However, I must state that Eze Onlytruth rose to the occassion and disassociated himself from this hawks and consistently called on other Igbos to avoid fallen into the confussion created by this few. This has made numerous anambra state indigens to reject and disassociate theirselves from the poly of this few to cause disaffection and discord thus susustaing the "IGWE BU IKE" principle and encouraging the "ONYE AHANNA NWANNE YA" solidarity and creating the mentality of "ADIGHI ERE NWANNE N'AYA". Thus making Ndi Igbo to speak and act as one on matters affecting us. To the amazement of various ethnic bigots, envious people and fanatics of various kinds. The thread he created stating the position of Ndi Igbo Nairaland concerning the the recent book written by Prof Chinua Achebe and various posts safeguarding and stating the Igbo intrest have send a strong signal that the Eze NdiIgbo Nairaland position is alive and active. Hence I, LORD NAYA THE ONYEOMA CHUKWU NYERU UGWU 1 OF IGBOLAND wish to say a big welldone to H.R.H Eze Onlytruth, Ndu di n'eziokwu 1, Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland. I will make my nominations later. J
