If the statements 'knowledge is power' and 'ignorance is bliss' are both true, does this imply that you cannot be powerful and happy at the same time? (speaking myopically).

An example to support this claim is in a relationship. A person with an unfaithful partner may have the most blissful relationship as long as he/she never discovers it. However with knowledge, you could take control by taking clever steps to prevent it from occuring, but will always have doubts abt ur partner's commitment. This may be of great concern.

So what is ur take on this?

you are mixing apples with oranges......... knowledge is power in EVERYTHING you do in life, while ignorance is bliss only SOMETIMES (aka when it comes to the negative side of LIFE) but we all know that life is about positive AND negative. i highly doubt that you would say ignorance is bliss about not knowing the answer to your final exams, not knowing the answer to your next job application test OR not knowing what to do in an important decision in life.

so in the same sentence, in r/ship, ignorance is ONLY bliss with the negative stuff, and it is NOT bliss if you dont know that what you are doing will make the love of your life dump you, for example.
