hi preggy mamas. So happy to join this thread. I got married in feb. 2009 and got preg after 3months but lost d preg. After 5months due 2 complicatioms. To conceivce again was a problem. But after hsg was discovered that my tubes were blocked and wit polyps after 2yrs of ttc again, i started d thread COST OF IVF IN NIG on nairaland. But as God will hv it my tubes were flushed in july 2011 , i conceived in August and my baby arrived in may 2012 now another Goodnews is that i'm 5wks preg while my baby is 7months you will say is too early cos of my baby but i'm happy.

@ifyemma, I waoooo your testimony oooo, this is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. It is my prayer that everyone who has waited will not wait any longer in Jesus name.

I once told my colleague that once the Lord answer me I will not delay for the second one except I have twins for a start, at most for the twins one year sef.

Hey ladies,

I have never been too frequent on here although I posted a few times. I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was still a teenager. I got married about 1 year and half ago now and we have been TTC. I have always had irregular, long cycles and I as well as my Dr even doubted that I ovulated on my own. I started Clomid in May, got my first normal cycle, ovulated, conceived and miscarried end of June. I posted about it here. These past few months have been difficult but I slowly stopped being obsessed with conceiving because at one point that is all I was thinking, dreaming, talking, reading about and it is emotionally so draining.
I did a 2nd round of Clomid, ovulated again, conceived and miscarried but this time did not even try to go to the hospital. For anybody who lives in the US, health care is really really expensive if you dont have a good employer sponsored insurance (which sucks so much money out of you every month). The bill we got from the hospital was much and after the insurance covered some of it we were still left with over $1500 so I stayed home and prayed.

I had one round of Clomid left but I have been reading alot about natural and herbal remedies, with all these synthetic medications which increase the chance of miscarriage and which we dnt even know exactly the effects in the very long term. I decided to go natural, had a change of attitude, left everything is God's hands, stopped asking and started praising. I stopped taking my temperature and stopped using ovulation kits. I ordered Fertilaid (which main ingredient, Chaste berry extract/vitex is an herb which helps restore hormonal balance) and started taking it with prenatals.

My sisters and aunties, I am pregnant, again, and I know this one will stick. I could not believe it! This is the only cycle in which i did not see any signs of ovulation, no EWCM, nothing. My husband and I had very infrequent intercourse. I started Fertilaid Nov 17, on cycle day 28, started feeling tender bosoms and slight cramping about a week after that (thought the Fertilaid is helping regulate my cycles and finally my periods are almost here). On cycle 38, still no periods, no signs of ovulation and of course I know I couldn't be pregnant having intercourse once about every 10 days or so. But I just told myself to just test, and there was a very faint line. But it was a cheap test so I thought it was wrong, waited the next day and tested. Tested the day after that, I was sooo anxious!! I have tested everyday and the line has gotten darker and darker and I decided to stop testing yesterday and believe that my baby is here, and here to stay. I have secretly picked her name and pray for her.

I do not know when I conceived so have no idea how far along I am, but it is very early so it shouldn't matter that much. God is the perfect physician, I'm letting him handle it all. I was anxious to see a doctor asap but I decided to calm down and wait early January so go to the doctor. I'm feeling great about this pregnancy, I am no more anxious, and after 2 miscarriages I am confident that this baby is my first born child.
However, I am continuing with Fertilaid (reduced the dosage), added 100mg B complex (b6 and b12 vitamin) as well as baby aspiring (81mg), and I also rub natural progesterone cream on my belly or my thighs twice a day. Those are natural alternatives that I have read help prevent miscarriage and support pregnancy (until the placenta takes over around 12 weeks).

I know many of you have had much more challenges in your TTC journey but God is more than faithful and will not give what you cannot handle. He loves you more than you love yourself and wants to see you happy and content. His will and his plans for your life are perfect and He seeks to always let things happen for you when it is the right time, and the right place, with the right people around you, considering all sorts of circumstances and situations which you might not know about.

Thank you for displaying so much strength and faith. We are blessing beyond measure and barrenness does not belong amongst us, not in the presence of the One who can give life to dead bones.

@all so much going on here. Sorry to be mia for a couple of days now. I was going thru a rough patch that got me petrified that my baby was no more.
But thank God that is not the case.
I experienced a slight discharge that was fleshy and stretchy..much like when ishon meat is chewed den brought out.
It was accompanied by an off and on clenching pain at my lower left back.
I was afraid cos I also stopped feeling pregnant (no bloatedness or heaviness). To top it off, I poas (I had extra's cos I bought about 30 sticks to use for daily testing after my hcg test to determine when the hcg clears from the blood) and the line was fainter that b4.

I withdrew into a shell and was praying all night for mercy. Dh noticed my mood and by the early hours he saw me praying and berated me to always tell him wats going on cos we were in it together.

I explained everything to him and he started to fire prayer too!By the time I tested again, the lines had gone back to normal.

The next day I went to the clinic and ......the baby is okay... we saw a tiny hb YAY!!!!

I dunno if its the fact that I ran out of metformin and couldn't find time to replace my stock for about 4 days....I just know that my baby was almost gone and that God gave us back our peace and that we must keep the flames of prayer burning all thru this pregnancy.

Soo many testimonies here, God I praise nd exhault your holy name, only congratulations is permited in our lives. Amen!

God bless us all. I got wedded in church in April, 2011. Before then, I had been praying to God for children. At a point, my hubby, (a very supportive man, God bless him) would tell me not to worry. We took fertilaid all to no avail. We had regular sex, nothing happened. When I saw my period in August I went to my momma and cried. She cried with me saying she wasn't idle for she was praying.
I will be honest. God is a merciful God. In September, 2012, my hubby and I made love the least number of times ever. That month I was even hardly in the mood. I remember that when it was time for my period, I saw a little blood, but it never got heavy. I told my hubby and he said, don't worry, it won't manifest into your period. I waited the whole night and woke up the next morning, no period. I didn't test immediately. I waited for about 3 extra weeks before I tested and I came out positive. Right now I am about 13 weeks gone or there about. I am ecstatic. Nobody in my case takes the glory from God, not Drs, because we planned on seeing one for extensive tests, not fertilaid, not even my hubby and I for how often we had sex. God answers prayers. I decree that our merciful Father will visit all waiting on Him, in Jesus name.
Whether IVF, artificial insemination, fertility drugs, or natural drugs, we conceive because God allows it. For those are already pregnant, successful, supernatural and painless delivery is our portion. For those in the waiting room, God's word will not go back to Him empty. None is barren in His land. His word says what ever we ask for in the name of Jesus, will be granted. This is God's word. He is not man that He should lie.

Most of u knw my story but lemme jst talk a lil bit abt it for those who don't knw.

I got married Jan 2011 and wasn't actively tryin to get pregnant until I went for my yearly check up and was diagnosed wit PCOS. Then it hit me dat dis might not b as easy as I always grew up thinkin and them i decided to start trying. I was placed on Metformin at dat time n got pregnant for d first time in Oct 2011 and sadly lost d pregnancy after a few weeks in Nov. Funny enuf i wasnt so shaken abt d loss i figured d same God dat did it wil do it again. I was asked to wait 3mnths b4 conceiving again but u decided not to. My Obgyn in Nigeria told me by Fertilaid in Feb of dis year after I had 2 failed cycles of clomid in Jan n Feb. I started Fertilaid beginning Feb and ovulated exactly 2weeks later n got pregnant. Unfortunately I lost dat pregnancy in April at almost 9weeks and in few words dat miscarriage crushed me. But during dis pregnany i was told i had very low progesterone level for a pregnant woman. After dis I stopped all drugs for 2mnths and started Metformin and Fertilaid in June.
I wasn't in Nigeria wen I lost d pregnant and I stayed out of Nigeria for 4mnths till d end of July and I conceived immediately I got bck home and I started using progesterone as soon asI took a HPT.
Right now I am 21weeks and having a GIRL and I jst can't stop thanking GOD for his infinite mercies.

Here's my date, am 26yrs, have had 2 miscarriages, diagnosed wit PCOS and Low Progesterone. Funny Enid DH never even got tested for anythng.

I wish evry woman d joy I feel in my heart evry time I feel a movement. May God grant out sisters in d waiting room their heart desires.

I have not been eating well oh, infact, i force myself to eat, no cravings at all unlike some other preggies i know and see around. The only thing i enjoy eating these days is cat fish peppersoup and very cold pepsi, and i obviously have to be careful about that cos of the strong spices and sugar; Please, what do i do to help improve my apetite

By the way, supernatural baby is growing fast- 17 weeks already,can't even manage sleeping face up or belly down again (my best sleeping positons), no matter how i try,,,,,all good sha, na to pose with pillow for my back and leg so i dnt fall back to my back again once am fast asleep.

Abeg any ideas on improving my apetite will be greatly appreciated.

Hi pink....if you don't have appetite den you have to ensure that your baby is getting the necessary nutrients.
The baby actually gets the nutrients first that whatever is left is for you. So if you are eating just enough then it will be okay.
But if you feel that you are not eating well enough then you may have to find a way to drink your food.
Make fruit smoothies and drink this. Take a walk if you can on an empty stomach and you will be hungry. Then eat a little of what is available b4 the loss of appetite returns.
Also you may have to cut back on the fish intake dear. Browse to see what fish is good for you (cos of mercury) and what isn't. I think there is a daily quota of fish or shellfish that you should take on a weekly basis.

The one I noticed is that am hungry and eating rather frequently but still losing weight. Am currently weighing 79 plus from the 80 plus I went up to few weeks ago.

The worst (or should I say the best) is that am not really having any MS, except when I perhaps take drugs/injections.....den I feel a bit queasy for a while till I put something spicy in my mouth.

Sha try and be eating, as per the weight loss, you might not know it but it might be due to the MS even if you don't feel it that much. Take care.

Am feeling a lot better now after d show of last week of serious body n joint pains,pretty high temp,feverish feeling,extremely emotional et al since last week.I went for my appointment this sat and was relieved by d scan,seeing my LO moving about.N am thankful to God that am past my first trimester,14th week now.God will continually see us thru till d end IJN.

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was a teenager and suspected low progesterone so I had been on clomid, conceived twice, miscarried twice. Decided to try Fertilaid after waiting for almost 4 weeks for any signs of ovulation or period. I didn't even have any egg white cervical mucus like I usually do, and did not use my opk like usually do once I start noticing ewcm. Plus, I had decided to relax and stop counting and planning sex. I even had a few drinks with hubby and in-laws almost all the weekends of that month. I started taking Fertilaid, and 10 days later, BAM! BFP! With hubby we didn't have intercourse more than 3 or 4 times in the whole 40 days that followed my periods. Like you Teenaba, I KNOW that GOD is THE ONE that speaks and breathe life into existence. No signs of ovulation, no hormonal support, not even prenatals, unfrequent intercourse and alcohol, yet HE DID It, to prove us that HE IS THE HE. HE is in control so that we may not boast.

Me: 26, PCOS since age 17 (with a rings of cysts of various size) on both sides.
Low progesterone (estrogen dominance)
Long, irregular and anovulatory cycles
2 Clomid cycles, 2 miscarriages (June and October of this year)
Hubby, 34. Never tested for anything
Married since August 2011
Conceived miraculously sometime around mid-November maybe.
Between 6 and 8 weeks pregnant and doing great by the Grace of God.

On another note, am in another world right now, I've started feeling kicks and I hve to say dat dis my daughter no dey play. When I went for my mid pregnancy scan d radiologist sed 'this little one is too active, I can't even get all d pics I need' and I sed jst like her mother. The radiologist sed b4 she can take a pic of one part of d body d baby has turned.
Now I've been scheduled for my level 2 ultrasound and I hope she lets them take all d measurements they need.
Evryone says am a very dramatic pregnant woman, evrythng makes me want to shed a tear cos sometimes it's so surreal. Sometimes I brng out all d baby clothes I bought n jst bury myself in them. I honestly can't wait to meet her....yea I knw am dramatic.

I have been battling with serious cough,chest pain,heartburn, Malaria. It has improved abit,hopefully it will be over soon.

I have also started feeling the baby kick,it is such an amazing feeling,i always pause anything i am doing just to enjoy the kicks and jab. DH is desperate to feel the kick from the outside with is palm.

With hubby we didn't have intercourse more than 3 or 4 times in the whole 40 days that followed my periods. Like you Teenaba, I KNOW that GOD is THE ONE that speaks and breathe life into existence. No signs of ovulation, no hormonal support, not even prenatals, unfrequent intercourse and alcohol, yet HE DID It, to prove us that HE IS THE HE. HE is in control so that we may not boast.

Me: 26, PCOS since age 17 (with a rings of cysts of various size) on both sides.
Low progesterone (estrogen dominance)
Long, irregular and anovulatory cycles
2 Clomid cycles, 2 miscarriages (June and October of this year)
Hubby, 34. Never tested for anything
Married since August 2011
Conceived miraculously sometime around mid-November maybe.
Between 6 and 8 weeks pregnant and doing great by the Grace of God.

God bless you real good and protect the growing one. Truly I least expected it in the cycle I conceived. It is a miracle.
