Seriously? Guys? Remember this thread; https://www.nairaland.com/1144911/atheist-agenda-2013-all-atheists We agreed that we would do better this year with resourceful threads and new ideas. Yet little effort has been done. I started a thread for "the best atheist arguments" which some peeps agreed to contribute, so far, it is only Wiegraff and Cyrexx that have contributed! Lets not behave like Nigerian armchair theorists that will complain that the govt is corrupt while not doing anything to make Nigeria better (or even worse taking bribes or contributing to the corrupt system). We have ourselves to blame if we allow ourselves to be marginalized as a minority. Atheist on reddit/youtube have a great presence while being a minority. So far, we have 10 arguments in a day. That is hundred in two weeks if we keep the same rate. We can do this. The idea of that thread alone is genius. There is no Pagan argument thread or christian or muslim argument thread. Also, you can embed videos on the thread if you dont want to write out long arguments. Just put a title and a summary as well |

Unfortunately, I am going to be very busy in the weeks to come, but I'm also going to have a personal investigation on a few things. I have a sketchy idea of how Judaism, Christianity and the bible came to be, but I will need to look deeper into it. I also think we should have an official parody religion, from which we could have a good laugh and at the same time reveal the ridiculousness of religion. |

I am not an atheist. I know there must be God somewhere. This earth could not have been an accident. However, i do not believe in organized religion. Each one claims that they know the name of God, He told them this or that, He is a member of their sect and other such nonsense. That is where i beg to differ. The worship of God should not be a group affair. Individuals can only develop their spirituality by relating to God personally. Joint belief breeds nothing but hypocrisy because the individual's belief clashes with the group's belief, but he has to hide his true convictions in order to belong. |
