Tecno N7 fell below expectations! Compared to Gionee's infinity, this phone sucks!.  Key Specifications of the N7 Network - 2G/3G Operating System - Android 4.0 ICS Band - GSM900/DCS1800MHz/WCDMA2100 Processor - 1GHz Dual core CPU Dimension - 148*79*10.3mm Display - 5.0″ Capacitive Touch Screen. Resolution - 480*800 (WVGA) Camera – 0.3MP Front Camera / 5.0MP back Camera with Flash Audio - AMR, WAV, AAC, MP3, MIDI, OGG…. VIDEO - MP4, 3GP, MPEG-4… Memory - 4GB ROM + 512MB RAM – MicroSD, expandable up to 32GB Messaging & SNS – Gmail Connectivity - WiFi, Bluetooth3.0, USB Battery Capacity - BL-4M (2300mAh) Sensor - G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor Other Features - FM Radio, Torch, Voice Recording, Alarm, Memo… The Tecno N7 being a key rival to Gionee’s Infinity has failed to impress with less important specs to packed. The only cool (I guess) feature on the phone is the Android 4.0 ICS (Not Jelly Bean) OS it packed and the dual core (which is not quite impressive in this day of Samsung high end smartphones). The Tecno N7 also failed to bring a better RAM (at least a 1GB RAM would not have been a bad idea). The Tecno N7 as stated earlier isn’t available for purchase yet and no date has slated for the launch. The guys at Tecno are incosistent remember they recently introduced Tecno D3 which should have been an improvement from N3 since it has a front camera and a flash at the back but they made a mockery of it by reducing the RAM and NO 3G. What's the use of secondary camera without 3G? |

Brainrex: 512mb ram too bad Yeah... to small but with a BIG MicroSD like 16 or 32GB, u can install an application called [b]Swapper [/b]Configuration from the market and with that, you can add extra 2 gig or memory to ur ROM  I use Sony Ericsson Shakira... with 128MB that I bought new like 2 yrs ago and with swapper, Fill in the gaps jare.. i dey enjoy am like anything with Ice Cream Sandwich... a custom rom... whao!1 Like |

ledafaze: I found this post of urs interesting. I have an HTC wildfireS that i recently dump because of memory issues. Available internal memory space by the time i dropped it was 19MB but i have sufficient SD card space. at least more than 13GB. many apps i love install straight to internal and cant be moved to SDcard. Are u saying that with this swapper application, a sort of "virtual" internal memory will be created from my more than sufficient SD card space or what? if this is so, i will need to pick up that phone again. simply love the shape and compactness. By the way, dont like rooting phones. 2 Likes |
