The analysis is basically false. Every food contains anti-nutrients whch nomatter the detoxification process u employed would never be removed completely.all u need to do as a person is to detoxify the food in question to an extent that it will never have a deleterious effects on the consumers

It hasalways been poisonous. When you read of a family of 5 dying after eating a meal of garri, what do you think? Even in the village, they will tell you that you have to prepare the cassava very well if not it can kill. Yet you will just keep yapping about what you do not know about.

It was just last week I was discussing cassava being poisonous and the person told me the poison is cyanide which is also in ackee.The poisonous cassava is not the one planted and eaten. It is a different kind and is bitter. I know for sure that some of the indigenous Indians of South America use it to make a meat preservative.

OMG! Cassava is poisonous?? If word of this gets out, it will surely affect the price of garri in the market!
