Over 1 million Facebook users liked Petter Kverneng’s photo, scoring him the chance to get laid. A Norwegian man may be about to get lucky – all thanks to Facebook.
Petter Kverneng persuaded his high school crush, Cathrine Johansen, to have s*x with him if he got 1 million likes on Facebook, and social media users immediately rushed to his aid.
The 20-year-old’s salacious stunt, which reportedly started as a prank, hit the million mark just hours after he posted a photo begging for likes, Gawker reported.
 
Though it began as a joke, Kverneng told Norway’s Nettavisen that he and his gal pal are going to “keep what (they) promised.”
He only hopes Cathrine’s parents aren’t Facebook users too.
Kverneng came up with the provocative plan after five siblings got over 2.6 million Facebook users to like a photo of themselves holding up a sign that pleads for a family dog.
“Hi World. We want a puppy!” the Cordell siblings’ sign reads. “Our dad said we could get one if we get 1 million likes! So ‘LIKE’ this! He doesn’t think we can do it!”
The Massachusetts kids are still waiting for their dad to make good on his promise.

Clearly a lot of people have fantastic views about this "facebook is making money off my likes" thing.

The primary challenge of any social network company is converting the amount and activities of its users to actual money. The only strategies to bring this about is to either make your users pay for special services, advertising, or farm their details out to spam companies (dirty advertising).

Facebook only makes money from ads, those things on the side you can like.
I doubt this guy put up an ad as that would be way too expensive (Believe me, I know). It would be waaay cheaper to just hire 10 high-class prostitutes for 365 nights than be "ad-liked" all the way to a million.

So these would be just likes made from friend circles, propagated to their own friend circles and on and on.
