Frankly, I have nothing against you trying to land customers from Syskay, but there are better ways of doing it.
Why should anyone listen to you about moving to another nigerian webhost such as yourself, when Syskay that is regarded as one of our best is currently off the grid contact-wise?
Can you convince us that you won't do likewise when we place our websites in your servers?

I will tell you reasons Syskay is worth leaving for GigaLayer:
First we do not operate like they do. We also provide better support service and if you read my post above, we have been in operation since 2007; you've never seeing our customers go mad at us (That's because we do our jobs)

If we are not good Seun would not recommend our service either, a number of other professional developers out there also use our service. We host a lot of big organisations and provide Dedicated Server hosting too.[/s]

@OP, you dont have anything personal against Syskay do you? Its good of you offering immediate relief for those whose businesses are suffering but the tone of your post leaves a sour taste in the mouth..

Its not everything we see people doing, that we follow. We have a culture and we endeavor to put a human face to whatever we do including business.

You just took lines out of Namecheap and co chasing after Godaddy customers at the height of Godaddy's public relations troubles last couple of years.

We have nothing against Syskay, except it is bad they are not answering to their customers and their servers are not responding for too long. We choose to offer clients an option for a better service and reliability.

it is really bad that syskay has issues and they cant boldly relate to their customer, all their contact lines are switched off for days now.

Ruffai, your tone is hot as if you are waiting for syskay to be in this mess. Your solution is quite good however, you can do well by communicating with syskay admin if this tempoary measure can be allowed to buffer/shelter her firm's mess.

I have nothing against Syskay, and I personally once mentioned they're good on this forum (from their years of existence). However we are just offering a remedy to suppressed clients at the moment. Businesses hindered, Nothing more!

This is only an option, to be considered or to be overlooked!

Well I have made it clear... this is not cannibalism, we are only offering an OPTION to businesses hindered. My post could be amateur, accepted (i'm not a forum expert). But either ways, I apologize sincerely for it and anybody who finds it bizarre inclusive of Syskay!

Syskay is still down and we can move out all the sites that are affected. But it's option to the affected site owners, to move or wait till Syskay resumes.

Poster, first and foremost i will like you to do just ONE thing right now, RETRACT YOUR STATEMENT ABOUT SYSKAY AND JUST APOLOGIZE

I am a business Consultant and well as a Web Service and Brand Professional and i must tell you, you just committed one of the WORST blunders in the business world.

YOU NEVER OPENLY RUN DOWN A COMPETITOR FOR YOU TO GAIN MARKET SHARE.

You are sounding too arrogant and full of yourself and that's definitely not the type of service provider clients want. They want someone who will treat them like KING.

If you openly laugh at the temporary downfall of your competitor, you sure wont be able to be patient to calm down your clients when they aren't happy with your service and complain about it.

I HAVE LOST OVER N25,000 since on Wednesday as some of my client are so impatient they are reigning insults on me and the only way to calm them down is to pay them off for their domains to be hosted on other host companies.

Anytime my phone rings, my heart just cuts as i am tired of apologizing and returning money.

SYSKAY SYSTEMS is down now but truth be told Isaac is a GREAT GUY. I have never met him before but just from the phone discussions and transactions with him, i have never regretted dealing with him. This man has the username and password to my other hosting accounts as he does ALL the transfers i need to do and is ALWAYS willing to assist.

I can call him as early as 6am and as late as 11pm and HE HAS NEVER COMPLAINED FOR ONCE.

I can demand him to text his account details 3times in a week and HE HAS NEVER COMPLAINED OR TOLD ME TO STORE IT SOMEWHERE. He always forwards it to me within seconds.

Business aren't patronized due to how good your goods or service are or how cheap, ALL businesses are done by trust/likeness and believe. If you can't make your clients believe you will treat them well or respect them, even if your service is the cheapest they will not patronize you.

It goes beyond using them, it is more about them having wonderful Customer service relations.

Zenith is one of the best banks in Nigeria but so many people closed down their accounts with them to less prestigeous banks because of their poor customer service.
