I think Malaysia would be a different race, but I still believe Vettel would win at the end of the season.... if the Lotus performs well in the heat like Bahrain or Malaysia then Kimi wins at the end of the season, but we all know that the RB8 is built for high speed corners and not straight line speed... and After Monzo most of the tracks favours the Red Bull car, but I dont the type of car Lotus built and remember Kimi is not that great in the wet.

Erm, no one seems to be talking about Lewis. I'm waiting for his next performance before rating him. I believe he made the right decision leaving Mclarens.

^^^true that, he did very good on his first day out, much better than i thought he would.....but so did Sutil and Force India.

A-40:

His tyres let him down today! When Vettel picks it up you and I know the rest of the field can't cope

you do know that tyres are going to be the make or break for this season..........

You people wouldn't stop making excuses for Alonso! Its a new year but we are still hearing the same lame excuses
"Everyone is driving a fast car except Alonso" enuff already

bro, the proof is in the numbers..... why did you think Massa qualified ahead of Alonso? wasnt Massa faster than Alonso in practice all weekend?

Lol you guys are talking too soon! One woulda thought last season would teach you a lesson

we all know what happened last season, it was a race to the finish line, and "that time" Vettel won....do you really think he will be that lucky again this yr?! you make it seem as it was like 2-3 seasons ago when RBR was clearly in a field of their own with a better car. abeg wake up bro, their dominance is clearly over.

Same song and dance last season no be wetin all of una talk? Vettel just wants to make it fun for everyone this year again

Yes Vettel won last yr but HELL NO he didnt won easily.....he had to sweat it until the last race, last inch. how he go make it fun for other when last yr was NOT even fun for him, lol?!

Sure it is but that mistake is not going to happen every race! The biggest winner is Raikkonen and he is the bigger threat to Vettel even more than Alonso

MRbrownJAY:

We could say the same thing last season! Alonso is a naturally poor qualifier! Have you forgotten gearboxes where broken to send Alonso forward?

Hehehe which luck? Luck is preparation + opportunity! The better person won and a much better start woulda helped Vettel win the title easily. I hope there would be no excuses this time

^^^ come on bro, Vettel did not make any mistakes, he just drove poorly, as he usually does when there is someone "worthy" ahead of him!

Alonso a poor qualifier compared to his teammate?! i can see you are starting this season with symptoms of heavy amnesia....... how often did Massa qualify ahead of Alonso last season? since you forgot, let me help you: only TWICE out of 20 races (Italy and Brazil GP), and you dare say that Alonso is a poor qualifier at Ferrari. as for your gearbox claims, abeg!

yes Vettel won fair and square, but to say (or insinuate) that he won easily is a joke....the boy had to fight till the end, and it could have gone Alonso's way as it went to Vettel's.

last yr wasnt fun for either Vettel or Alonso, as they had to be at the top of their game till the last race. it was great for us to watch but to say that Vettel wants to make it fun for all (as if he is having fun) is wrong. the guy wants to win, he doesnt want to make it fun for anybody, and it sure aint "fun" for him when he is NOT on the top of the podium. you best believe that he wanted desperately to win in Australia, just as any other race.

He drove poorly when his tyres where about giving out on him? You think everyone would drive reckless like Hamilton and crash out of the race?
He got 15 crucial pts maybe he shoulda gotten more and he could also have ended up with none

I said Alonso does not do well at qualifying I was not comparing him to just Massa! Maybe you have some reading difficulties sha
What you wanna deny that gearboxes where broken and Massa deliberately compromised to earn Alonso some more points on more than one occasion? Ninja please!

Alonso had to do much more than Vettel to win yet Vettel ran thru most of the field twice to get the 6th place finish he needed to win! Compare that to Alonso who couldn't pass Petrov in his own situation and spent the whole race a sitting duck

Well Alonso thought he had it in the bag till my boy turned on the style! Forget the Australia race its 1/20
Vettel can phuck around and win 4 or 5 races in a row at any point in the season! Don't believe just watch at least we've seen it before

face it bro, the RBR had no pace and couldnt compete with the others "this time", qualifying on top is not all that is needed to win a race.

I said Alonso does not do well at qualifying I was not comparing him to just Massa! Maybe you have some reading difficulties sha
What you wanna deny that gearboxes where broken and Massa deliberately compromised to earn Alonso some more points on more than one occasion? Ninja please!

whether he qualified well or not, his teammate very rarely qualified ahead of him, and now here is that same teammate who goes to lap faster than Alonso all weekend. you do the bloody math.

Alonso had to do much more than Vettel to win yet Vettel ran thru most of the field twice to get the 6th place finish he needed to win! Compare that to Alonso who couldn't pass Petrov in his own situation and spent the whole race a sitting duck

the championship was much more than that FINAL race.......if you think Vettel didnt work just as much as Alonso to win that one, then you are living on la la land.

Well Alonso thought he had it in the bag till my boy turned on the style! Forget the Australia race its 1/20

winning 4 or 5 races in a row is not what is going to make anyone win the championship, unless they can be consistent on the podium.......thats why last yr there was only 2 title contenders within the last few races. making it look like Vettel had it in the bag (long before Brazil) is a damn lie and we all know it!

anyway lets see how it all goes in Malaysia.

I'm happy that the "gap" between the cars is non-existent so should Vettel go on and win this season there would be no excuses from your camp. Frankly Kimi is the bigger threat for me! He has a dangerous car this year

MRbrownJAY:

You make it sound like Massa is a scrub? What is this ninja talking about? Before his horrific accident he was a title contender! Can he not outrace Alonso abi didn't we see it at latter parts of last season

Vettel did have it in the bag! Had he not dropped the ball in USA the Brazil race woulda been a formality

You can just be right but it is still early days though. I don't want to say Hamilton got it wrong by joining Mercedes but he could have waited a bit to be priced by either Ferrari or Red Bull. Fingers still crossed but it is not yet a happy switch. Practice so far at the Malaysian Grand prix hasn't been good for the Mercedes powered teams

LH cannot go to Ferrari as him and FA were not best of pals at Mcclaren
He undermined FA as the senior driver

And he is too loud for RBR

Agreed, they were bitter rivals back then at Mclaren but in biz and sport world unexpected can still happen.

Seems like Mercedes has resolved their issues! Did much better in qualifying today

Hehehehehehehe

Sutil has been quite impressive on his return so far
Alonso also has to worry about Lewis on his heels (not holding my breath on that tho! Alonso has the faster car)
If Vettel manages his tires he would win this easy the track is wet but not dangerous

For your information, Hamilton did not undermined FA but prove is worth and skill, Mcclaren also gives their drivers equal right as you can see in some race btw Hamilton and Button but i agree with you in the sense that there's a tension btw both and it does bring out the best in both.

Tough one tomorrow, 2 Ferrari drivers in front of my man..... Ummm, very tricky but anything can happen in the world of F 1.
