Worthy is the lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (Revelation 5 : 12).
On the cross He said "Father forgive them for they know not what they do", though it was painful His heart was focused on the people rather than Himself. Here we see the nature of His love-unconditional and divine (Luke 23 : 34). I beleive He had the power to rescue Himself, but He did it just for you and me.

In Luke 23 : 43, He said to the criminal, "Today you will be with Me in Paradise" when the criminal recognize Him and express faith in Him as Saviour.
To you sinners, He is ever ready to save you if only you will give your life to Him and recognise Him as your Saviour.......
He did it just to set you free!
