What could possibly cause the elections to be postponed and what do you think will be the likely consequences of such postponement given the Nigerian factor?

it was postponed bcoz one of the parties (Labour Party - LP) wanted to change their candidate.

However, the election has now been set for April 26 becoz the appeal court held that the earlier order to postpone the election was merit-less (but the die-hard party has said they will appeal yet again for the election to be postponed indefinitely)

implications?
1) we the good citizens of Adamawa can get even more of our money back from the AC camp! yippeeeee!!!! (jumpin in the air and clapping my legs together).
2) Nyako's return has been postponed by 2weeks - damn.

How can you tell us what will happen at an election beefore it takes place? That goes to show that the PDP have already perfected plans to rig. All candidates are assumed to have equal chance of winning before elections. God, save our state from PDP. Amen

Atiku, Boni and the boys didnt care!!!! they emptied the state's coffers. they are giving the people 'our' money back which they stole in the first place and I certainly have no quarms about taking what is rightfully mine anyway.

2) ur second statement sounded a bit ridiculous. firstly, i am not an INEC official (lol) so cudnt tell u about any 'perfected plans' nor can i single handedly change the result of the elections.
secondly, i have NEVER heard a crazy statement like 'All candidates are assumed to have equal chance of winning before elections'. what where there is no such thing.
thats y there are polls to determine WHO is in the lead; thats y the candidate from 'all winners party' isn't taken too seriously; its y i'm not contesting to become the next president of Nigeria; and if ur in America: thats y Rudy Guliani dropped out of the race; thats y i'm not going to win a 100m sprint against asafa powell. becoz people do not have an equal chance of winning.
better candidates do better. the masses are firmly behind Nyako. not bcoz he is perfect or becoz he has a zero tolerance for corruption but becoz he is certainly the lesser of two evils. it is a shame this is a criteria for selecting a candidate but it is the reality of Nigeria.
u may not agree with how he got into office which is fine (neither do i) but u certainly cannot deny the difference in progress between the past admistration and his own. he has done a good job.

pls tell me what AC did in the last admistration that warrants their return. remember this is not about sentiments but about forward progress and what is best for our state. for these reasons i say, AC has no chance againt Nyako and he will definitely be back where we need him.

ALL PROMINENT MEMBERS OF THE FORMER ADMINISTRATION MOVED AND FORMED THE 'AC' PARTY IN ADAMAWA STATE WHEN THEY FELL OUT WITH OBJ AND PDP IN GENERAL!!!

here in Yola, we call the past administration the AC administration. Atiku, Boni Haruna, Saleh Michika, Gambo Jimeta (to a certain extent) and the rest of the crew which i'm sure you don't know anyway.
People say 'when AC was ruling what did they do?' it's the way we speak because we cannot call them PDP anymore. (I cannot believe i have to explain something so basic!)

so before u comment on a topic, honey, do some research. otherwise, it is best u shut it!

You see, you clearly don't seem to understand the meaning of reading between the lines. You, seeing as you are no god you do not have the audacity to tell us who will come out on top after the polls. Its as simple as that. So, until and unless the elections have taken place and the winner announced, it is generally presumed that any candidate is capable of winning if not,  there wouldn't be any need for the elections anyway.

Moreover, even in my worst nightmare, i believe Nyako cannot come back to power if the playing field is level. Even In the last elections he didn't come 2nd but 3rd.

yea. i'm going to register my party ZCI and i'll have a very good chance of winning! of course, an Equal chance! ur clearly the one with the problem of reading between the lines. thats y i even gave examples to illustrate my point. its not to say they can never win but that it will be virtually impossible to do so.

it is all but certain he WILL come back to power if there is a level playing field (as i believe there will be). when was the last time u went to Adamawa have u seen the support he has?
as for him coming second or third? should i even waste my time answering this? y do u think AC didnt want the votes recounted? and wanted the election to be handed to them? y? i'll tell u y. becoz they only won in 4 out of 21 local government areas and their agents were there to verify! wake up and smell the coffee. and please tell us who exactly took the second spot? this should be interesting.

like i explained in the other thread, i am in support of the nullification becoz of AC's disqualification. however, that does not mean i support the party nor does it mean i would dislike the administration that is making a big change to our lives in Adamawa simply bcoz of how they came into power. Never. Nigeria needs change and progress. not looters and corrupt politicians like Atiku, Bapetel or their croonies in AC.

Again, i ask encomium and others defending AC, what did they do in the 8 years they had control of our state?
