Wealth23 and Ade_Mutiu, i understand your fears on dangers of investing in any financial instrument. Sincerely, even with the NDIC insurance on bank deposits, we are not insulated from these attendant risks. I think NDIC insures to the tune of N50,000......

However, i will advise that before you invest in any instrument, take your time to conduct your due dilligence on who and where you are putting your investment i.e get to understand the credibility of the institution and the people behind it......It is very simple, simply make your checks and you can even ask for advise from the regulatory bodies....

I sincerely will advise you to follow up on this by conducting your due dilligence on this company and the people behind it, interact with them and if possible their customers, and if you can burrow into their system, then the workers can give you sincere information.....Moreover, ask questions on what they want to do with your money (as per their business line) and alternative sources of income they have. Obviously, if they are into sustainable business, your investment is in a less risky position.

Very good comment and I got ur understanding of Financial Institution in Nigeria ..

Before 3rd January 2005 ( recapitalization) , Obviously there were customer’s unwillingness to save and the poor banking habit which is due chiefly to the fact that they have lost confidence in the Nigerian banking industry , recapitalization sent pack most of the banks and other Financial institution that seems not capable ,
CBN has done well with that, Cecilia Ibru and Akingbola's matter had no implication on any customer as we are able to access our money and the banks were acquired by ACCESS BANK and EcoBank ....

Very good to make findings before u embark on a project or investment , I am intrigue by ur point but it is not new to me as i have had such encounter here on nairaland until i sold up to 28 people who got the language clear...

I am sure you cant not tell me u dont save in bank ! cos same applicable to all financial institution...
