A plane was on fire flying over central London an eyewitness has said.

Both runways have been shut at Heathrow Airport where the British Airways aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing.

The incident is not thought to be terror related and all passengers are safe.

Brigade crew is
attending the scene although the fire is now believed to be out.

There is speculation that the plane had run into a flock of birds
