Lol.. Girls don try o. Hmm.. First date. I agreed to go cos d guy was cute and all and my friends were urging me on cos i hardly go anywhere. Got there and after a few pleasantries, we decided to get to know each other. So d chit chat began and we couldnt find any common ground, his idea of music was d kinda noise i abhor, he doesnt read and was crazy about horror movies. Omo, where's d compatibility nah?? I endured a bit until he started talking about how he can only date a woman like his mother and how she has to be perfect and all. That was when i noticed he couldnt speak two sentences without mentioning his mum. Mehn, that was d last straw, u dont know me yet and u're already giving me a prototype of what u think i should be?? I mean honestly, i have no problem with a man that loves his mum. It shows how much he values her and that he knows a woman's worth,..but having to walk in her shadow or compete with her? No. Eventually, the only common ground we had was tribe and religion. Bye handsome, better luck with the next girl. Till date, it's still one of my worse dates. The 'then' me felt really bad though, it would have been cool to show him off. |
