It's worth noting that the price of the S3 is about 67k which is less than double that of the phantom.

Secondly, the Phantom lacks any form of screen protection and so will easily scratch.

With the S3 you're guaranteed at least 2-3 updates but on the Phantom you're stuck with ICS.

The S3 also has a better battery life in actual use maybe cos of its better processor and quite smaller screen.

Samsung products have been tried and tested and shown to be strong unlike Tecno which is rather unproven.

You also have to take into consideration the resale value. After using the S3 for 2 years you can still sell it for good money but the Phantom even if it lasts upto 2 years, would be worth peanuts.

Lastly, the S3 is in a higher social class than the Phantom which is still largely considered cheap and sub-standard.


In summary, the Phantom is a fantastic purchase for its price but the S3 is better.

I did similar thing those days when I was a symbian fanatic. Infact I insulted some android folks then. Few days after I got my first android, then I realised my stup¡d¡ty

I'm presently typing with a small android phone (galaxy pocket), and I'm ready to sell for N5,000 to any willing buyer. Its not worth the 20K.

I refused to be f00led by some small small chips.
Techno is only trying to open our eyes!

Samsung etc only sell their NAMES to us! The phone is nowhere close to the selling price. Don't be f00led by small Korean teenagers.

I've used Techno N3, seen N7 and all I can say is... wow!
Bye to Samsung, HTC, as for Nokia, they died a long time ago.

Samsung are the king of inovation and do not depend on the andriod Os for its smart features on the other hand, techno solely depends on the android OS.

The s3 has the ability for upgrade for the next two new OSs realeased after the one the device came with whereas, the phantom is stuck on the Ice cream sandwich.

Samsumg galaxy S3 murders the techo when it comes to specs comparism in EVERY single area. From battery life to ROM to ppi density...etc

Samsung galaxy S3 has a gorilla glass(unscrachable) while the phantom doesnt.

Samsung is a better brand name anywhere anytime. For techno, chinko will always be chinko.
