ENSG Concessions Sunrise Flour Mills to Vietnamese Company

The Enugu State Government has concessioned the Sunrise Flour Mills Emene, Enugu to Dao Gia Vtv Nigeria Limited, a
Vietnamese-Nigeria Company. The state government had early this year signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the company.
In a statement from the Enugu State Government House, the handover ceremony took place weekend at the premises of the company after months of deliberations, consultations and negotiations between the state government and the company.

The State Governor, Mr. Sullivan Chime described the ceremony as another significant milestone towards the actualizations of his government’s promise to partner with local and foreign inventors to establish new businesses and revive the ailing industries.

Governor Chime who was represented by the Secretary to the State
Government, Mr. Amechi Okolo stated that already government has
created very conducive environment for all investments to thrive in
the state, especially with improved security, provision of social
infrastructure and restoration of public confidence in government and
governance among others.

He used the occasion to thank the company Dao Gia Vtv for the belief
and trust they have in the state and therefore assured them of their
safety as well as unflinching and unreserved commitment to meet its
side of the agreement to the benefit of both parties.

The State Chief Executive also called on other potential investors to
come and explore the rich economic and commercial potentials that
abound in the state and establish their businesses.

In his address, the Chairman of the company, Mr. Dao Quang Phu thanked government and people of Enugu State for the opportunity given them to establish the business partner at the Flour Mill.

Mr. Phu, assured that they would commit themselves as fast as possible
to ensure full reactivation of the company to commence production
without delay.

He promised that they will make use of local manpower in the company
for their operations and appealed to the state government for their
support and cooperation to ensure full realization of their aims and
aspirations.

The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Dr. Judge Akubilo in his brief remarks, thanked workers of the company for keeping watch
over the equipments in the factory and safe guard them against
vandalization.
Akubilo also stated that the handing over ceremony was the
beginning of more good things that will happen in the industry and
expressed hope that more investors would come and invest in the state, adjudging the state with the lowest crime rate in Nigeria.

We should all make efforts in growing the economy by partnering with the private sector. I commend the Enugu government for this achievement

I have always believed that government has no business in owning businesses, it would be better if this businesses are handed over to private investors and they are checkmated closely. Therefore thumbs up for chime on this one.
