My blood boiled over the moment I confirmed the deportation happened recently. A similar incident of deportation was reported less than a year ago.

Some questions readily come to mind. Which law empowers Fashola and agents of the Lagos State Govt to deport Nigerians within Nigeria? Which law states that the poor and destitutes cannot reside in Lagos? Is deportation of Nigerians in Nigeria Fashola's solution to poverty? Is Nigeria no longer one and indivisible entity?

As far as I'm concerned, this deportation by Fashola and his team is barbaric, thoughtless, evil and satanic. That Nigerians could be deported in Nigeria is simply unbelievable. That this barbarism could be repeated further CONFIRMS that the first incident was not done in error. This is man's inhumanity to man. This has finally confirmed that Fashola is despotic, evil and heartless. Fashola cannot be a Nigerian.

We cannot overlook this act of barbarism this time. Fashola cannot MUST pay for this. Personally, from this day, I'll call into and write every programme on radio and tv, that I have access to, and place a curse on Fashola. The war on Fashola will also be felt on this platform. I'll keep doing this until the curse on Fashola reverberates in the whole country. I'll do everything humanly possible to make Fashola PAY heavily for this barbaric act including mobilizing for street protests. The NASS must organise a public hearing on this matter. Tell us what the Governors in your enclaves doing with their monthly allocations. The SE Governors keep buying mansions in London, Dubai, and Washington, D.C while Ibo peole keep suffering everyday. When are you going to start asking your governors what they do with their monthly allocations? Lagos cannot continue to feed your people. Lagos should be getting tripple of monthly allocation they get now if Federal Government put into consideration the number of Ibo people we accomodate, educate, and feed in Lagos.

This is about deportation of jobless entities who happen to be from the east. They should stay in the east if they don't have business to do in Lagos. Many of them have become kidnappers, armed-robbers, touts ...........

Every corner, bustop, road medians, front of corporate buildings, roaming the streets.....begging. Some started getting creative by destroying roads so that traffic hold ups would occur while others got aggressive and they slept everywhere in the open, had sex, gave birth to kids and raised them in the open. They had turned into a social menace and eye-sore.


Enugu is probably peaceful and you don't have this "Beggers" problem so you can't be fully aware on how bad its become. I was in a car with a visiting white man once and on spotting him, the beggers numbering about 9-10 came over to the car.....Waving their Deformed limbs and sores right in his face. He was petrified with shock and as we sped off, he mumbled to himself "Oh my God, they're so many". That's one of my Most embarrassing days as a Nigerian.


Their actions has long reached its tipping point and "diminishing returns" has set-in for them. They need to know that its no longer "business as usual".

There's no justification for the atrocious act of deporting Nigerians in Nigeria. Its not about party or tribe. It is evil and satanic to deport Nigerians in their own country. No matter the menace you claim beggars have constituted in Lagos, Fashola should look for CREATIVE ways of solving the problem. If the beggars are doing illegal business, then Fashola also embarked on an illegal act of deportation of Nigerians in Nigeria.

What cant the state govt consider creative solution such as:

1. Rather than waste energy in deporting these people why cant the state, in collaboration with police, investigate and identify ring leaders of the beggars, arrest and prosecute them? Just like guys on this forum ask for arrest and prosecution of sponsors and leaders of Boko Haram, rather than only footsolders, the state govt can also identify, arrest and prosecute ring leaders of beggars in the state. You know the effect this will have, it will cut off substantially the influx of more beggars

2 Mop up some of the beggars in the streets and take them to rehabilitation homes. The cost of feeding beggars cannot and can NEVER be too much for the state to bear.

3 Fund the medical treatment of those who require treatment. Yes, this can be done, especially at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital

4. Encourage well meaning individuals, private institutions and religious bodies to also establish rehabilitation homes that'll complement that are being run by the state govt

If the above measures and other creative interventions are done CONSISTENTLY, the number of beggars and destitutes will reduce substantially.

Deportation of Nigerians in Nigeria cannot and can NEVER be part of the solution in any circumstance. It is evil, inhumane, barbaric and satanic.
