I have watched with rapt attention how the so called Pastors have exploited the masses by means of preaching an Imaginary reward in Heaven instead of gearing them to face the hard challenges of life ( someone who ought to be out on the street, looking for his daily bread will prefer to stay in church for longer hours waiting for a miracle that will never come).

How weak men have created an imaginary hope for themselves as an excuse for their failure with sayings like (My God will take my to the next level at the appointed time).

I see this trend as a sort of slave morality on Mankind because it makes even the strongest of men to think like a weakling.

Men should be motivated to promote their untapped power rather than turning them to dummies under the pretext of religion.

Prayer without work is what i call foolishness. There are some people that are naturally lazy hiding
under the church canopy. The pastor can only encourage them but not force them to do otherwise.
We all know that Faith without work is nothing. Let us not blame any pastor for this.Thank you.

@ kola oloye, very true.

@ poster, the bible says faith without works is dead. its not the pastors, its individual mentalities. some people are just plain lazy. i cant be looking for a job, for e.g, and say becos i have faith i wuld sit in my house and expect the job to walk in, without sending resumes and trying to meet people, improve myself to attract the kind of employer i want and such stuff. faith, WITHOUT works is very dead. where the faith factor comes in is God granting you unmerited, unbelievable favour in the eyes of would-be employers, u know, like that.
i always say to people that we cannot spend money in heaven, money is meant to be spent on earth. and God loves to give good things to his children, but you cant say, "ah, by faith i would make millions this year", and sit on your butt in your house sleeping all day and praying in tongues and the millions go just fill your freezer, u get the picture
