Few Reasons For Exam Malpractices In Nigeria And Why We Ought To Stop It by Nobody: 9:44am On Oct 02, 2013
Fellas, I had been exposed to exam malpractices since my Common Entrance Exam into Secondary School. Lately, I was pondering on reasons why exam malpractices is one of the most common trends in Nigerian schools & why we ought to fight against it.

1) Our parents encourages it [ cos mine are my greatest encrouragers for me to get involved in the trend ]

2) Lack of intrest in education [ cos my talent doesn't really require me to be well educated therefore I may decide to skip class ]

3) The teachers [ either they miss classes or they make money from the malpractices or they are not qualifed enough ]

4) School eviroment [ when the school environs is not conducive enough, distractions are over 100% ]

5) Gadgets [ phones for example make it easy for students to get questions before the exam starts therefore students see no reasons to read ]

6) Unscrupulous Business men & Exam officials [these people specializes in leaking the exam questions and selling it for exhorbitant prices. Others even post it on their websites.

7) Tutorial Centres [ these people usually decieve parents and children by assuring them A+ in all their subjects and over 280 in Matriculation Exams and Admission into high charisma schools.

cool Everyday People [ they label you as a "S.U" or an over righteous person if you try complying by the exam rules ]

9) Exam Marking Scheme [ with strict exam marking scheme, students who are smart engage in exam malpractices so as not to fail. The previous JAMB exam is a perfect example ]

10) Exam result [ you burned packets of candle, attend lectures, focused on the lectures, avoided the dullards, did your assignments, e.t.c Your result is nothing to write home about. So the best option you could think of is when next the opportunity of malpractice comes your way, you grab it like a million dollar check ]

We ought to fight against it by/ because:
1) it doesn't pay in the long run. You can't cheat for life, think of that day that cheating won't be an option. *job interviews for example (if you ain't a pretty or an endowed lady) or (if your interviewer is strict)*

2) God detests cheating. READ Proverbs 11: 1 - 6

......^these are the only reason I think we shouldn't engage in malpractices. Please add your opinion
