I've never really understood the assessment done by the globalfirepower guys,but I guess there are probably military experts on this forum that can help explain how the rankings are done. Do this rankings go by size and/or sophistication of country arsenals?(I know they add this up too cos they always make a list of the amount & types of military equipment each country has.) Could it be the projected strength of infantries? Could it be the projected strength of military network?etc. Genuine military experts....let's hear from you guys.

Anyways, there are a projected 205 countries in the world & Nigeria's military & it's capabilities have been placed 36th(in the world) & 4th in Africa. I have my doubts about Ethiopia been ranked above Nigeria & even south Africa,but Hey that's just me. What do I know?......Over to you military experts.

Nah man,I doubt. It can't be that. If it were that,Nigeria woulda been ranked above Ethiopia. From the statistics on that site,Ethiopia 's defence budget is just 284 million dollars while Nigeria's over 2billion ddollars annually.
