As stated earlier from Raypower fm a local station here.

That was my concern too, but for Nija anything is possible.
Oyinola don win for Osun too!
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by desgiezd(m): 1:46pm On Jul 15, 2008
With Oyinlola also declared as winner, one wonders if there is a need for seeking redress at election tribunals. Even the elections that were re-conducted, the fraud perpetrated again made the first fraud like child's play? One wonders where we are heading in this country.

Even Rule of law has limits

As u all should know.

Besides i wouldnt say it would be good 4 d polity as it were if mark was booted out.

Cos in my opinion he seems to be handling d senate quite well (based on some warped standards sha)
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by CARUSO(m): 1:50pm On Jul 15, 2008
Another slap in the face of Nigerians

Seeking redress at Election tribunals is just a waste of time and the whole process is a charade, (merry go round if u like)!!!

Corruption, favouritism, di.s-regard for laws and preferential treatment would continue to pose a drawback for Nigeria!!!
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by diggler(m): 1:52pm On Jul 15, 2008
@ Desgiezd, @Caruso

Without option A4, our levels of political corruption, will remain @ 250%

I beg to differ the issue here is not how you are handling the senate but our method of selecting our representatives.
A thief is a thief even if he steal to feed the poor not to mention these people we have in Government and their conducts.

Definitely we are not getting it right, but in any case even if there is a re-election the usual we still happen.

correct

the point is, his election to the position was flawed, filled with irregularities and does not have the approval of the voting masses!

he can handle the senate based on laid down laws and guidelines but did he deserve to be in the position? i dont think so!!!
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by OgeneDom(m): 2:02pm On Jul 15, 2008
Well you just spoke well, he is doing well in the Senate. Everyone could easily conclude with you with out another thought. But i will like you to equally remember that the country and every living soul would like justice to prevail anytime, eachday and at any moment. If David did not actually win the 2007 election that saw him as a senate before assuming as the senate president, then he has no option that to leave the office that is if only if that the court will pass the true judgement. For now let us pray that justice is not denied to those that deserve it.

Have a nice week

I also thought he was a joker but with these realities starring me in the face, I'm beginning to, albeit sadly, have a rethink. OMG!! sighs

I have lost confidence in Nigeria judiciary,it won't be a surprise to me if Andy becomes the governor of Anambra state. It is now i believe that everything is possible in Nigeria.

Big B1:

Why do you think David Mark is not fit for his position?

hez not fit because votes that propelled him there were not from the people of Nigeria who wanted democracy to reign

You dont deserve something that is stolen

You may have the intelligence to run a public office but it doesnt mean you are fit if you are corrupt

you are not fit to hold a political office if votes and mandates were stolen

A politician is a fraud if elections were not free and fair

And besides what Caruso just contributed, who can forget this rascal was part of a very disrepute

cabal of overpoliticised soldiers, who delayed democracy in Nigeria almost a generation.

Who do you blame for this mess?

A. Akala and Adedibu
B. Andy Uba and David Mark
C. Shagari and Shonekan
D. OBJ and Ribadu
E. W. Bush and Obama

He did no have the mandate of the people.Besides, have you forgotten his role during MKO june 12 election annullment?
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by CARUSO(m): 3:56pm On Jul 15, 2008
Big B1:

Who do you blame for this mess?

He has to shoulder the blame for plotting together with the detractors of democracy in Nigeria and accepting a stolen mandate

The detractors of democracy in Nigeria are far too many to list and they all collaborated to impose and foist a candidate on the people of Nigeria

A candidate who never won an election but stole it, a candidate who has in the past impeded the growth of Nigeria in order to enrich himself

There wont be any point clogging up the forum board with the names of the idiots who have taken turns to plunder the the country into a mess!!
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by BigB11(m): 4:00pm On Jul 15, 2008
I'm sure that David Mark did not pick himself; he was selected.

I think we (Nigerians) are targeting the wrong person as usual.
This is also one of the main reasons why nightmare history continues to reappear over and over.

My Point: I'm not sure if David Mark is responsible for this mess.
To effectively solve a problem, we must first identify the root of the problem.
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by BigB11(m): 4:06pm On Jul 15, 2008
Who selected David Mark? and who was in-charge of the appeal in Jos?

Those are the questions Nigerians need to be asking and those are the entities Nigerians need to be targeting. Targeting David Mark is nothing, but a waste of time and energy; And nothing will ever come out of it.

Listen fellas it would be wrong to cast aspersions on the judiciary simply because the judgements did not go our way.Yes there may be som compromised judges but i dare say there are more incoruptible judges in this country than anywhere else.Since the last selections(sorry elections)we've witnessed a wave of judicial activism, even as recent as yesterday the govt of Liyel Imoke of Cross Rivers state was sacked by the Appeal Court.Whenever there's a ruling it is always better to wait and get the report of the judgement b4 we begin to act, lest we become arm chair critics.
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by lucabrasi(m): 4:33pm On Jul 15, 2008
imagine o,while the pronouncements was going on i just tuned my tv to some other channel i hope people shouting mugabe mugabe and zimbabwe can see that we have bigger criminals in our electorate and amongst our own politicians than zimbabwe has, imagine a judge still going ahead to announce that kind of result when the honourable thing he should have done is to step aside, imagine david mark s election upheld in the face of evidenced fraud, only GOD knows what will push us nigerians over the edge to demand rpoper reforms
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by Godalone(m): 4:45pm On Jul 15, 2008
Judiciary has fallen,it will take the grace of God for Nigeria to have a credible judiciary again. Our judges are corrupt, what do you expect from them other than fraudulent declaration.
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by Truequest(m): 4:53pm On Jul 15, 2008
The problem here is enormous, to solve it, we have to start with the electoral body, then the people they helped into power. If that is not done trust me Oshomole might not get justice and same goes to Ondo. This is bad. God deliver Nigeria.
How will a leader who is sure you did not vote for him listen to you. How will such leader implement programs that touch the life of the people? Little wonder there is so much looting in the land.

Just imagine, anytime a PDP person losses a case, its celebrated all over the world, but when he wins, its loss of hope in the Judiciary. What's is our problem anyway? That no PDP person freely won the 2007 election? This's arrant nonsense.

You people have waited eagerly to pop the wine, click the cups and made toast to the fall of David Mark and the Idoma Nation entirely, but today God and the alekwu Idoma have shut up your mouths filled with vinegar.

I want to inform you all that the God of the Idomas is not sleeping, and as many of you that are on this destructive mission will continue to be put to shame.

The boy (Young Alhaji), who is sent from hell to carry out his masters' bid is not and can never be part of us. Everything about him, ranging from his name, religion and to his way of life is alien to the Idoma nation. We know him to have come from Niger state, just having his mother from Orokam in Ogbadibo LGA of Benue state. May the day his birth was announced be cursed.

Conclusively, the Idomas remained grateful to the learned Judge that has put this smile on the faces of true sons and daughters of Idoma. May she live forever.

The oppressors of the Idomas should now have a rethink because the battle line has been drawn.

on a lighter note, whether we like it or not

There will be peppersuaying and bigstouting tonight at david mark's residence, even his opponent will go there to 'solidarity' with him for free peppersouaying.

He will treat himself to another wife for his 'success/victory' in court.

He may have been selected but at least there is no drama in the Senate like ETTEHGATE of the House of Rep.

Everday for the thief, one day is for the owner. The day of Nigeria and Nigerians is only one day less.
Re: David Mark Survives, Wins Appeal In Jos by BigB11(m): 5:13pm On Jul 15, 2008
The money that was supposed to be spent on reforming/ upgrading the election process in Nigeria was wasted spent on chasing Atiku all over the world.
