Truth about some farm biz...........
thrs no way u will loose ur money if thr is full commitments. profit is guaranteed and capital is never lost if u really take d ryt steps and u devote ur time. its not easy but reasonable.
My OGAAZ. @ d *** , its now left for u to decide on whatever area of farm biz u luv to venture. From my own experience in this farm biz, for a starter, d results after 18months might b a great profit wit just 2M to start d biz. when u discover d prospect in d biz den u can invest more if u wish.
if u need some clues, I'm always available cos its both on livestock and crop farming, along with poultry farming ( only turkey )

Am a kin lover of agriCulture and intend to start my own farm after my service next year, I would like to ask how much a hectare/acree goes for on a leaseing bases. Is the farm settlement a government owned one. Has it being clearend nd if not is it full of trees.
On the other hand I would like to seek ur advice on crop type to go for with. A budget of 1 million.

i'm so in luv with this thread and anything that have to do with agriculture...i have the passion for it but my existing environment is not encouraging...i want ti venture into it after my studies but i don't know where to start from...if one is going inti crop farming, which one is the best to venture into??

There's virgin land n land dat has bn used before wit little trees.

I will advice u to go for plantain n cassava.

I will advice u to start from making enquiries on two crops and how to farm dem so by d time u r set for d farm, u won't actually b a complete novice. the crops are plantain n cassava. U can plant corn wit cassava if u wish to. Make market survey to have ideas on marketing strategies. When u fully set to start d farm , an always available.

d land is 3k per acre not hectare
They don't sell or lease in hectares in d settlement but u can always negotiate.
U can get acre of land from 100k -150k depending on nearness to main road n easy access to gd road.
Some parts have irrigation network but u need to see for urself before u decide or conclude n not just what i tell u.
Whenever u r set, just let Me know.
