Yes, a biochemist can get a job in both field, but with better advantage if u have ur MSc in pharmacology to work in pharmaceutical company or MSc in 'health and safety environment (HSE)' or 'Environmental biochemistry and toxicology'.
note: it depends on the want of the company

olugbode: I'm a graduate of Biochemistry dept AAU, Akungba and a serving corp member in Abia State.

a biochemist can work in a drug company but not as a pharmacist and i also think in oil. Biochemists are posted mainly to the quality control unit in this type of companies.

makkitush: thanks for ur contribution but this so called country NIGERIA don't value biochem nd some other courses.but go to some other country nd study this biochem nd u see jobs looking for u.
