In few words, here is how it going to go down, We will pick some well design site and then try to guide you through how to design every bit of the site.

Let's get started, am currently using something similar to Livestrong.org footer design for the footer of my ongoing project so let me show how to do this

Am using Sublime text 3 as editor - to download sublime text 3 for MAC, Windows and Linux
Go to http://sublimetext.com

Let's get busy designing

1. First thing, you will notice, footer cover full screen width on any screen size.

2. Thin yellow line above the footer, let's assume our footer start from there


Next is how do we achieve this two things

Let's work on 2 first and use blue instead of yellow
