Unfortunately I don't see African countries coming together soon because our colonial heritage has caused severe divisions, especially between Anglophone and Francophone Africa.

Only until the French leave Africa for good and their ex-colonies stop using the CFA franc as their currency will we begin to take the first steps toward true African unity.

Thats becos China has been like that for a long time and even in old time Rebels always fight wars with the emperors all the time to secede from china.. And they also speak one language.. In River State alone do u knw how many tribes are there not to talk about the whole of Africa. In Summary China has been united for long time and the japanese/west invasion really made China strong united. Africa has not reach that stage yet until the Europeans came to colonize us am sure our forefathers thought the sea was the end of the world. Nigeria is not even united, what Nigeria needs is massive permutation as in yoruba marry igbo or hausa and give birth to a child and that child marry someone that came from a parent that their grand parent were both yoruba and hausa. Then their child will not care whether he/she is yoruba and igbo, becos the route will just be lost and they will just claim they are Nigerians.. Thats the only way u will see true patrotism.
