********* BEGINNING. ***********
(A woman's voice): magic is everywhere , it's all around us. it guides us and shows us what lies ahead and prepares us for the unexpected. It's evident in our everyday life. From transforming simple ideas into ground breaking innovations to changing the perspective of mankind to one of endless possibilities. its the burning flame in each and everyone of us, that drives us to achieve the unimaginable. when we are in danger, it heightens our senses and makes us do the unthinkable just to survive. Its runs in ours veins and chooses to unleash itself when we least expect it. it's what brings out the unbelievable.
Even when we choose to ignore it, it creates a corrective mechanism that acts swiftly to redirect our steps towards what fate has destined for us. Its like a magnetic field, that draws us towards our destiny yet protects us from the unknown, things that mankind dread to believe even exist. Things that are only written in story books and comics, the very ones that your parents used as bed time stories to scare the living day light out of you. But the truth is THEY DIDN'T TELL YOU THE WHOLE STORY....THEY WEREN'T EVEN CLOSE........

No man knows the exact number of the gods nor the exact location of their Abode, for no mortal has ever been to Moldore before nor has it ever been revealed to any in a dream or vision.
Legend has it that the gods created everything in its unique form and there was nothing that existed that was unknown to them. Everything was subject to their control and every living creature worshipped them. but the legend was wrong for there were others who were not made but existed along side the gods especially one who drove fear in the hearts of the gods. one bold enough to wage war against the gods and. almost tasted victory.....almost
***********

His name was Baldur ruler of the underworld, banished by Rodin the god king after the GREAT RUMBLE IN THE HEAVENS. A time long before the creation of planet earth, when there was no ruler and every god had to fight to know his place.
In the heat of the rumble, gods fell and when it was obvious no god could win the war alone, sides were then taken. Rodin at the time had defeated the stone god horuous, while baldur had slayed the god of the wind tigerus. Sides were taken based on the one who each god perceived to win. after decades of fighting, Rodin finally defeated baldur at the mount of Moldore. a new era was formed and judgement was set. baldur and the rest of the gods that fought alongside him were banished to the underworld for eternity.
There was finally peace in the realm that lasted for centuries until Rodin decided to take things far...

Even though the realm experienced peace, the other kingdoms were not fooled. It was obvious that sooner or later after the rumble in the heavens and effect of baldur's fall, that the gods would realise that in order to remain supreme, to forstall any uprising inspired by the encouraging loss of baldur and also to become REAL gods, they had to have total dominance of the realm were every being made or formed would bow before them.

But despite this glaring realisation, one thing the five kingdoms did not foresee was how swiftly they would descend upon them and utterly destroy legacies that had been laid for ages and would only be remembered as myths and legends.

First it was the Island of Tora. The land of flowing beauty they called it. A kingdom thousands of miles east beneath the isle of the gods. One that was the envy of other kingdoms..***chuckles***(As she tries to relive the experience)

Its surrounding walls and structures were adored with the brightest of stones, artfully crafted by the MEMLINS, flying creatures with human like features who were known for their profound wisdom and knowledge of art.. Her walk ways were made of gold derived from the stars of Norman, the purest of its kind.. I must add that the island of tora wasn't known as the island of flowing beauty because of its alluring work of architecture but for its beautifully hewn flowers that artfully surrounded the city which never slept, radiating their magnificent beams of light that could guide a traveller toward his path several miles away.

But their days of glory were short lived as an army of gods spear headed by the god of war KROMIS, known for his anger and rage of inferno descended on the island, like the fog descends upon a hill.. Zokin the torian king unprepared for what knocked at his door step hastily rallied a troop of brave soldiers to repel the attack of the gods. soon swords were clashing and screams were heard even from a thousand miles. Bright lights overwhelmed the skies the kind that could only reveal one thing, THE TRUE STRENGTH OF A god.

in the heat of the battle Thousands of torian soldiers fell and in a moments time the course of the battle could be predicted. Zokin sensing defeat and trying to prevent more onslaught of his men had no further choice but to surrender and agree to the terms of being loyal subjects to Rodin. Subjects that were to relinquish control over every thing that was once theirs. Though Zokin sought for one thing, that the SANCTUARY the only part of Tara yet to laid to waste was to be spared, to remind them of the glory that once was on their kingdom and a silent hope that torians would carry in their hearts for many generations that all was not lost yet.....

Next was sunturia, the home of sunturian god Onamer. Legend has it that Onamer was once a god. A god of archery as his favourite instrument was a bow forged from metal. The head of his arrow was made on the tooth of wenmorogatus, the great sea monster whose teeth was known to bite through anything and was likened to the inferno of kromis. However Onamer's time as a god was short lived, when he fell in love with Maya the queen of sunturia. Obsessed with his new found love, he spent more and more time with Maya neglecting his duties. Maya realising the depth of Onamer's love talked him into training her people in the way of the bow. Word reached the council ( for Rodin was not god king then) and he was accused of treason. For it was thought then that he was planning to train an army of his own that would one day wage war against them. A thought even they knew was totally insane. The scale was weighed and he was found wanting. Thus Onamer was banished never to return. He earned the name sunturian god for he was the only male who could dominate them in every way, as in sunturian tradition, males were used only for mating and were killed thereafter.

Sunturians were tall fair skinned feminine beings which possessed the darkest and longest hair ever seen on a living creature..They were well trained archers who could take out a moving target several yards out.

Yet all those amounted to nothing as they soon realised that it would more than a bow and arrow to take down a god.

Just like the torians, the sunturians were taken by surprise. It was during the feast to mark the conclusion of the hunting games, a game where wild beast previously captured were released back into the thick forest and hunted by a chosen few who were the best of their kind. Unknown to them while the celebration was at its peak, an army had strategically positioned themselves at the known exits of the kingdom.

Like a sudden downpour that descends upon the earth without any warning of its homecoming, the gods once again descended upon them but this time blackening the skies and hurling hail stones at the once merrying but now frightened group, a feat that can only be achieved by omri the god of storm..It was common knowledge that a sunturian aside from hitting a moving target in broad day light could also do so in the darkest of hours by discerning its prey's presence, determining its current position , calculating its possible movements also considering its speed and predicting with pin point accuracy where its prey would land next, simply by closing her eyes and meditating.

But with the hail stones falling with great intensity, the sunturians were thrown off balance. Hadicapped but not yet defeated they fought back quickly forming formations, and sending random but seemingly well calculated shots of arrows to the heavens ,each archer relying on her own discerning ability.

It worked for a while or so they thought as the hail stones seemed to stop failing almost immediately. But little did they know that the gods had other ideas brilliant enough to annihilate them though almost.

There was an unusual silence, one that could be compared to the graveyard of shoul..TheThe place where all beings lay to rest for an appointed time before they were judged and sent to the afterlife. It was said that such beigns could be summoned from time to time to right their wrongs they made while alive or to give counsel to a loved one who was in difficulty and needed urgent help or simply to remind them of how much they were missed in the land of the living and how they were faring the afterlife. all these we're only permitted by dakumon the temporary keeper of the souls in shoul until they were jugded had handed to hakkubba the guardian of the afterlife. Souls whose transgressions out weighted their good even after shoul would to cast down to the underworld to face eternal torment and damnation..

When the silence seemed to linger on for eternity and the sunturians even though cautious of the enemy were about to heave a sigh of relief the worst happened.

The sky suddenly began to emanate rays of light whick trickled in at first but in a matter of moments the darkness that once overwhelmed the sky became an event etched in history. Still focused on the sky not for one second relaxing their bow despite the new turn of event that signalled good fortune the sunturians remained stationed in their battle formation and then it happened.

First it sounded like drum sticks ramming themselves on a few hundred advancing battle gongs with consistent rhythm, then its velocity was intensified and its sound transformed from a few hundred to several thousands but this time from all sides of the walls of the kingdom.

Their curiosity was finally unravelled as what they beheld was an advancing army of roaring gods from all sides of their position ready to destroy anything that stood in their way.It dawned on them that their walls for so many years of providing that feeling of safety and protection from the outer world had finally been breached. Trapped and out of options the ever brave warriors yet lounged another barrage of arrows at their unwanted guests in rapid succession.

A few gods fell but their numbers could not be compared to those that were slain on the other divide as thousands young and old were slaughtered like sacrifice intended for the atonement of a heinous sin that may yet never be forgiven. When it seemed that all hope was indeed lost and an entire race would completely be wiped out from the surface of the realm, Onamer together with a battalion of angry soldiers emerged from nowhere to rescue what was left of his adopted kind.

More gods fell this time around as Onamers rage burned with his bow taking them out with seeming ease..Yet victory was far from actualized. The sky that seemed clear as the fountains of lillybirth was once again blurred not with hail stones or a blanket of darkness but with the resurgence of more heavenly hosts, this time led by Kromis himself..

Onamer seeing that he stood no chance with kromis for even he knew that only a select few could stand let alone defeat him, took the only positive option of retreating with the rest of his people if he wanted them to survive.

Aside the three known gates that were situated at the north, south and east wing respectively, There was a hidden path at the west wing located somewhere between the towers of Lin and the lost wall (a tower that was never completed despite the numerous attempts made to do so and was finally labelled as being sacred) but was hidden from the naked eye by a thick bushes.

Quickly they raced towards it, already clearend by Maya and a handful of soldiers left behinid for this very purpose with their enemy trailing behind. As the sunturians were arriving closer, with the few that were far behind slaughtered for running too slow, maya saw that the only way to save her people, to save the only king worthy of her love, was to close the gates once they were through and hold off the enemy with the few soldiers at her side. Even though she knew that the gods were not interested in taking prisoners but silently hoped that the exception would be the case.

Without warning, as the last one had passed the gate she, with some help closed the gates and broke the lever which they used in doing so, making it impossible for anyone or anything to gain access to the other side. With shock and disbelief written on his face and tears gently trickling down his cheek, for the first time in his life, Onamer stared at his queen unable to say the words that intended to convey his true feelings being felt at that very moment.

After staring at him one more time and saying her invisible goodbye to him, she beckoned on her trusted soldiers, who were willing to lay their lives for their queen though not without taking souvenirs with them to the afterlife. In a moment there was noise and then screams and there was nothing....

The land of gah whe easiest of all the five kingdoms to be conquered. Inhabited by gahlians, short and somewhat ugly creatures who wore their beards long, for reasons best known to them. I would say they were "somewhat" ugly for they had a few "pretty" ones among the lot who were greedily taken off to marriage by their king golgozah, the ugliest of them all. They werent also dwarfs actually because they were a few inches taller than dwarfs and were known thieves who stole from unsuspecting travellers and home they were able to break into.
besides dwarfs were already extinct during the cold age, a time when the realm suffered the longest spell of ice that killed thousands of people including animals and plants as they froze to death.

Kindgoms fought to survive as food supplies ran low. Many kingdoms ceased to exist as some died of starvation while others died because they failed to win in the battle for survival. The latter was where the dwarfs fell into.

As food became hard to come by, the gahlians began to drop in numbers. In order to survive, first they began to feed on the carcass of the dead but when that became hard to come by they started feeding off their own kind, killing anyone who was ill or too weak to fend for himself.

Then a scout who scoured the area not to get information valuable to the king or to anyone either but in search of anything to appease the rumbling in His belly, found out that while the realm were struck with hunger and starvation, there were yet some who seemed to be immune to all these.

The dwarfs were known to be highly intelligent creatures travelling round the realm to seek knowledge anywhere they could find it. They were also highly organised, planning and anticipating trends and events that they thought were likely to happen and somehow they were able to predict this, even though it came unexpectedly. They had toiled hard for months, gathering all they could find and built new storage houses to contain the much they could gather. Now it was time reap where they had sown and they did a pretty good job at enjoying the moment.

The scout returned with the good news to the king which was bad news to the dwarf as he immediately gathered a strong army to march down to their would be abode but not first without eating the rather unfortunate bearer of the news.

The dwarfs in all of their wisdom and ability to predict events, failed to predict this imminent disaster that was soon to befall them.
Within days, their once serene city now housed chaos as the gahlians turned a once beautiful city to a land of rubbles. The dwarfs put up little resistance as they were not knowledge in the art of war, something that was rather odd for species prided themselves as the fountain of knowledge.. Soon the city was taken and the dwarfs were no more.

The gahlians had heard of the fate of Tara and sunturia and knew it was only a matter of time before the same fate befell them. So when the gods marched towards gah, they were already at the entrance gate in their numbers every gahlian with his sword, spear and shield. But once the gods approached them expecting some resistance from their well prepared hosts, the gahlians dropped their weapons in unison and swiftly bowed before their assailants.

Without been asked they swore their allegiance to Rodin to be their eyes and ears in the realm and truly they lived up to it. For they were instrumental in the Fall of the last two kingdoms.
