Beware Of Jumia: Fraudsters At It Again(CASE RESOLVED)

Nairaland i have a serious problem a sum of 12,637 naira was deducted from my account by jumia ,i did a shopping with them on Friday 6th of december 2013 and they debited me twice removing 25,274naira from my account and they have refused to pay me below are the details of the two mails i have sent to them.Please help me appeal to them to pay me my money and Nigerians please be careful their are fraudster in Jumia now using your card information to deduct additional money.

I bought two items last week friday and you guys double charged me 25,274Naira on my Lien account,Please kindly revert the changes ,i checked with my bank and they said the fault came from you guys. Below are the details of my previous transaction:

Have been calling for a while now in respect to the issue below how i was double charged,i have called my bank and it wasn't from them,it really look as if your site Jumia is not safe anymore to do shopping and i regret shopping with you guys.Below are the details from my account at the same time the same amount of money was deducted twice and your account department is telling me it wasn't their fault then whose fault is it,i did a shopping from your site and am being fraud :

Chairman stop crying like a baby, Jumia is not Interswitch that charged you twice. Go to your bank an make the complain.

Femani or whatever they call you stay out of my issue and it is an insult for you to be telling me am crying i think you are very stupid for that statement,i believe if you are the one that is being fraud you wont have the gut to talk to me like this,JUMIA is a FRAUD and Nigerians need to be careful when using the card on this site,it is even better not to use it cos i don't think their site is secure at all

OGA!!! jumia is not a fraud. just because there was a debit error on your transaction doesn't make jumia a fraud, only the profit jumia makes a day can feed you for about 99years, you should consider that this is festive season that they might have a lot of orders to work on!! for example i ordered for tecno Aiii since 3days ago and the order is still being processed up-till now. so you have to exercise a little more patient for them to rectify your complaint and stop making a baseless accusations... thank you!!!

AGAIN THEY ARE NOT FRAUDSTERS!!! IF YOU ARE NOT SATISFIED WITH PAYING WITH YOUR CARD. U CAN SHOP WITH JUMIA WITH PAY ON DELIVERY OPTION ONLY IF YOU ARE IN LAGOS OR ABUJA BECAUSE THAT'S HOW I USUALLY BUY FROM THEM. THANKS!!!

To set matter straight.

If you had used Interswitch issued ATM card, send an email to support@interswitchng.com detailing the transaction. Also go to your bank just tell them to reverse the second transaction, you'll be given a form to fill which will be forwarded to their head office for immediate resolution.

A good corporate organization is mandated to reply all mails from clients / customers in a timely manner. By writing to them without response, do you blame him for calling them fraudster? Most of you Nigerians take many things for granted from these organizations thinking that they are doing you favor by replying your mail, in fact they are duty bound to reply your mail and treat any issue seeking their attention. Demand your right from them.

Some of you commentators didn't address any issue, rather you gave your support to Jumai, ask yourself How would eBay, Amazon or bestbuy handle similar issue involving an American?

@civilserva thank you very much,your advise is very helpful i will do that,i thank God that the transaction i made is not even too much moreover if we are doing internet shopping is better we have a separate account with small cash inside to avoid problem like this and to my surprise JUMIA didn't even answer me since then they told me bluntly that they are not responsible moreover i blame myself if am in lagos i would have opt for pay on delivery but am in akwa-ibom.AS FOR ME am not doing any shopping on JUMIA again.

Case finally resolved finally through the assistant of my bank, the two debit went to JUMIA and they can't even notify me anyway i have had enough with them.All thanks to my bank and civilserva for the advise.

civilserva was the only reasonable person on this thread, sorry to say. someone's money was deducted illegally and you have the guts to be sayying he's complaining/shouting/crying, na wa for nigerians. we are our own enemies. any and every consumer organisation should promptly reply mails and requests, ddamn the number of requests they have. if they cant handle the population, they should hire more hands and stop trying to overwork the little hands they have. undecided

for me, online shopping is a NO-No still. silly people thinking they are doing me a favour by taking my money online. kpshew

I was deducted twice with a week interval.. same amount.
