Travel Tips For The Season

You will agree with me that the roads are more
busy this time than in any other time of the year.
For this reason one must be very careful as to
avoid the unexpected.
Some of the factors to consider are Human, Mechanical
as well as environmental factor and not forgetting security factors.

Human factor.
- Take every other driver as been mad as you are
the only sane driver on the road.
- You must learn to drive five(5) vehicles at
the same time(vehicle at your front, one behind,
two by the side and then yours).
- Don't bother arguing with other road users as
they are all made.
- Note: While travelling on a long journey, wife
must try not to discourse pressing issues with
husbands while on the wheel.
- Do not discourse football matters while on wheel.
- Speed limits should be adhered to.
- Do not enter a town on high speed(human movement
is prevalent)
- Make sure you are not distracted i.e. drive with a
clear head.
- Be mindful of smoking vehicles obstructing views
ahead.

Mechanical factor.
- Do not manage a fault in a vehicle.
- Make sure the vehicle is in order before embarking
on a long journey(Many not guilty of this except
commercial vehicle). Be sure your mirror and lights are okay.
(Know your vehicle)

environmental factors.

- Try running at a moderate speed when the weather is
hot to avoid tire heating up and busting.
- Drive at minimal speed(60-70)km/h while it's raining.
- Be mindful of oil spill on the road.
- Smoke from burning forest can be problem at times.

Do not forget to always wine up lock doors.
Do not compete with vehicles on the road and forget about
time but have your destination in mind.
