Is Christmas Food Haram (illegal) For Muslims? by idrezee(m): 9:20pm On Dec 24, 2013
Merry xmas fwendz and may we see xmases decades from now (I didn't here an amen) LOLz........I'm a muslim but believes in everybody's faith/and ur right 2 religion and I dont think my religion's better dan anybody's for maybe I would have been either a xtian, jew, budhist, etc if my parents were one and I was raised under that faith but they r muslims hence my present religion- you can argue as u like but the fact remains that over 90% xtians/muslims are practicing this faith coz they inherited it or are brought up under it, environmental factors, etc.
Sorry I derailed a bit but u ought to know my stand in religious matters, et al, so u won't misjudged my post! I was told immediately I can hear and talk that its haram(illegal) to eat a dead animal that either died naturally or the throat's been slit by a xtian, jew, etc that muslims only eat meat of animals that are properlly killed islamically by a practicing muslim hence the eating of xmas food's HARAM. coz most of the meat involved are killed by xtians.........this made me waste a lot of meat last xmas @ my sister's in abj but ate the rice only and gave so many out to xtian friends and that's what I intended doing this xmas but I just realised that if I cant eat those meat, why eat d rice cooked with that meat. Please I want versed muslims/xians to throw more light on this for I am just an average muslim.
NB; as human I'm liable to err and stand to be corrected+ pls forgive my many spelling errors-Im typing with a fon/busy so no time to spell-check. Thanks.
MERRY XMAS!

Just saw this;
Islam Religion wrote:Are Muslims allowed to Celebrate or to attend the Other Religion's Festivals ??Praise be to Allaah.It is not permissible to join in the kaafir festivals for the following reasons:Firstly: because this entails imitating or resembling them, and “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” (Narrated by Abu Dawood). This is a serious warning. ‘Abd-Allaah ibn al-‘Aas said: Whoever lives in the land of the mushrikeen and celebrates their Nawrooz (New Year) and their Mahrajaan (festivals), and imitates them until he dies, he will be a loser on the Day of Resurrection.Secondly: taking part in their festivals is a kind of befriending them and showing love for them. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):“O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as Awliyaa’ (friends, protectors, helpers), they are but Awliyaa’ of each other. And if any amongst you takes them (as Awliyaa’), then surely, he is one of them… “[al-Maa’idah 5:51]“O you who believe! Take not My enemies and your enemies (i.e. disbelievers and polytheists) as friends, showing affection towards them” [al-Mumtahanah 60:1]Thirdly: festivals are the matter of religion and beliefs, not the matter of worldly customs, as is indicated by the hadeeth: “Every nation has its Eid, and this is our Eid.” Their Eid or festival reflects their corrupt beliefs of Kufr and Shirk.Fourthly: “And those who do not witness falsehood, and if they pass by some evil play or evil talk, they pass it by with dignity” [al-Furqaan 25:72 – interpretation of the meaning]. The scholars interpreted this aayah was referring to the festivals of the mushrikeen. It is not permissible to give any of them cards for their festivals, or to sell them cards or any of the other things they need for their festivals such as lights, trees or food – including turkey, candy canes, etc. (Don't forget to Share)
From the above post it automatically means its even bad for me to merry Xmas or celebrate the festival, etc..............NB: this thread's an extraction my yet to b completed/published book "Who really's God and why are we His robots?" (Blasphemous abi?) Wait till u read it.
