Hull City,
What a great and unbelievable performance from the tigers, 3 away wins from 3 tough matches. The fear of Hull city is the beginning of wisdom.
Re: Hull City by chessguru(m): 8:22pm On Oct 05, 2008
The tigers are now in the number 3 spot after seven games in the premiership !! two away wins in a row against the GREAT ARSENAL fc and Hot spur (who has not wan any game this season are are at the bottom of the table strange)

Hull city has indeed announced their presence in the top league, lets keep watching hoping this is not a typical initial GRA-GRA that new teams to do then fall back later!!

TIME WILL TELL!!
Re: Hull City by Tatase(f): 8:57pm On Oct 05, 2008
I mean we all know they won't finish 3rd but good for them they're following in the footsteps of Reading and Wigan from seasons past i.e. freshman sensation. I'm always sympathetic to the underdog and wish them all the best and more grease to their elbows etc etc.

we dont all know anything, Rules of tradition are meant to be broken in life, it has happened before, Not likely but dont write them off though their chances of maintaining the tempo is low. that does not mean they cant do it if they want to!!
Re: Hull City by Jarus(m): 8:13am On Oct 06, 2008
I just see it as another Initial Gra Gra, like Wigan did when they also came. They will soon settle for their place in 10-15 category this season, and battle relegation in subsequent seasons.

Reading and Wigan easily come to mind.
But let's face it.
Its week 7.
31 weeks to go.
A quarter of the matches haven't even been played.
It's too early to even say Hull won't be relegated!!!
What happens if they lose Geo, Cousin, Boateng etc?
Though, its a breath of fresh air.
Who could have predicted victories for them in North London
Re: Hull City by A40(m): 12:54pm On Oct 06, 2008
I don't know how far they would go in the season proper but what i know is there would not be involved in any relegation dog-fight

Re: Hull City by A40(m): 7:01pm On Oct 19, 2008
Those guys are on steroids they are back in 3rd place and the question now is can they be stopped?
Re: Hull City by Raimond(m): 9:38am On Oct 23, 2008
When Wigan came back to the premiership, they went on a 6-match winning streak.Where did they end up on the table? Fine, they are having a good run at the moment, but i don`t think they have the character to sustain it.
Re: Hull City by manmustwac(m): 8:39pm On Oct 23, 2008
@Hull City Manager
Please dash us {spurs} all your first division players and we'll dash you our 70 million pounds plus premiership squad. smiley
Re: Hull City by yommys01(m): 3:32am On Oct 24, 2008
How I iwish they did not release Jay Jay. To me, they . They look very serious. I can bet they will maintain they tempo but I don't expect top 6 from them.
Re: Hull City by A40(m): 4:23am On Oct 24, 2008
They would run out of gas in due time
Re: Hull City by dayokanu(m): 5:46pm On Oct 25, 2008
They would run out of Gas but right now they sit pretty.

They won 3-0 away
Re: Hull City by HNIC(m): 6:55pm On Oct 25, 2008
I saw Hull city dismantling West Brom today.
They may not end up in 4th position, but mark my words, if they can keep their first 11 fit, they will end up qualifying for UEFA cup.
It's unbelievable that Phil Brown worked with Sam Alladyce.
His team isn't hoofing the ball up in the air or lining 10 men behind the ball.
They are playing some real nice footie and also winning games.
Well done Hull City.
A breath of fresh air

its Phil Brown i pity! after overachieving this season, the board would start thinking they're the shiznit! and then he'll get the sack next season when SSS(2nd season syndrome) kicks in! we saw it last season with derby.after the manager did a great job by taking a crappy team like them to the premier league, he got sacked after their dismal run of results!

Sad!

Phil is just a Mourhino kinda coach who seems to knw the kind of personnel suitable for his team and the style of footie that tears apart each team he meets.H eknws how to get the best out of his players and names like Ashbee,Marlone King,Cousin(pronunced Couzan) et al which were hithero unpopular are now dreaded.Their next games against Man U and Chelsea will really say a lot but they ve tried so far
Re: Hull City by DavidDylan(m): 9:22pm On Oct 25, 2008
Hull city will come down to earth against Chelsea. Theyv'e simply made things more difficult for them now everyone knows they are no push overs.

Lol i thought they where going to run out of gas but that is not going to happen anytime soon with the way they are playing i expect them to give Chelsea a run for their money they are playing with such confidence its almost scary and they ain't even playing the typical smash and grab Bolton style they are playing with loads of grit and a suprising bit of flair its unbelievable
Re: Hull City by ow11(m): 9:31pm On Oct 25, 2008
Like many have noted,

Hull city = Reading = Wigan = Ipswich Town ( They even qualified for Europe)

They all got good performances after coming up in their 1st season. When the element of surprise is gone next season, they'll be battling for their premiership status and will FIRE Phil Brown! cheesy He should take notes from Paul Jewell, George Burley and Steve Copell. . .

They are not playing anything spectacular from what i can see. A team that loses 5-0 to Wigan is nothing special. Most teams took them for granted and paid the price.
I have to say Phil Brown was spot on signing players like cousin and Geovanni, its lifted the confidence of the team. Myhill is also a very good goalkeeper, without him WestBrom would have taken something from this game.

Against a fast attacking side like Chelsea that also has a solid defence, it will be back to earth for Hull City. From there i foresee a free fall.

Just ask Reading.
Re: Hull City by cabali(m): 9:50pm On Oct 25, 2008
it ain't ur regular prediction but mark it; chelsea will beat hull city home and away!

Not spectacular to you but it is amazingly effective and effective hardly ever goes wrong. The 5-0 loss was a bad day in the office how many losses have they had since? they have beaten Fulham,West Ham,Tottenham and even Arsenal why do you think they can beat or at least draw with Chelsea? i know they would fall down to earth pretty soon but i don't think it would be wise to write them off either

Do you think Hull will beat Arsenal at their home?
Totenham is a crap team, they could lose to Cardiff City at this rate.

Hull city is as effective as Bolton once was, its a matter of time before they are eventually found out. You can only ride the wave of adrenalin for so long. The presence of 2-3 quality players cant hide the fact that the rest of the team are made up of very average players.

We all thot Reading players were the "it" 2 seasons ago.
