Someone told me of a place that offers 3month. training.
Please Tailors in the house is it achievable?
Cos i thought one needs not less than 6month to one year to acquire this skills?

It is very possible if you're passionate about it.
Three months on full time basis is a whole lot of time to learn sewing.
As for , I learnt mine in less than six months on part time basis.
Although I acquired some of the sewing techniques on-line

i am also interested in learning how to sew but 3mnths is all the time i have,but the lady says its a 6mnth course. Am gonna try talking to her. I believe 3mnths is enough,a friend of mine learnt without tutoring

Learning how to sew takes only a few hours actually,its learning how to use the different technics that becomes the challenge.personally I advice students coming to my fashion school to go for at least 6months becouse of the following reasons

The price for the 3month program is usually higher than others when u divide it by duration,and its like that in vertually all fashion schools in Naija.reason being that the tutor has to rush you over so many sewing methods in that shot time,thus stressing him or her more becouse at the end if u are not happy with what u got you will feel bad

Most times its not that same day u are taught that u know it so u need more time to do it over and over again till u become perfect at that perticular method.so for many 3months is never enough to get a hang of things

Its just that schools can't do without putting 3months in the list of their categories coz when peoples see the price tag on the 6months and 9months they just go so its put there for you to think oh yea I can afford that but like I said b4 u paying more and rushing ur self in the end.

Those that I encourage to do 3 months are those with a previous knowledge on it so they are just coming to perfect their skills on it not starting from the scratch.

So if u have time go for the longer period and take advantage of the price reduction u get on the longer periods.both ways it favours u.there is no fast track to this thing trust me I know u still have to learn it step by step.what u will be able to do at the end of 3months can never be the same as with 6months or 9months

my dear,no allow anybody bobo u oo.....u cant b a good or perfect tailor with just three months training....am also learning ...dis is my 6 months..n honestly,it has not been easy...aldo,am passionate about it n totally inlove with the work,but for u to b very sure of ursef,u have to knw d basis of fashion designing....dos offering u 3months training only wants to chop ur money go ni.....after na only go dey dance to d music wen u spoil customer clothes....

I am a guru now in sewing to the glory of God.
I make all my clothes for my daughters and even my colleagues at the office.
Thank God I obeyed the leading of God to go into this trade despite my still doing circular job

It is 7 years now since I acquired this skill.

They abound in YouTube. We have several of them bu I love Ekpereka creation. She simplified sewing techniques.

I learned mine in 3months including illustrations.
But still perfecting my illustrations and sewing at home with the help of YouTube.
