You are talking absolutely rubbish, some Nigerians with their closed minded arguments.

419 is definitely a blight on Nigeria to the point that whenever I encounter a foreigner on business matters, they are very suspicious when it comes to the commercials.

I think as Nigerians, we and the media fail to address the issue in its proper perspective. 419 is a symptom of a much bigger problem which is known as FEDERAL CHARACTER. clearly a dubious term used to classify what a Nigerian should be. in reality it is known as CORRUPTION. This is the root of all ills in Nigeria from 419 to Child-labour, Malaria (Nigeria has the highest mortality rates for children under 5 in Africa), P.rostitution, R.ape, etc, everything has its root in CORRUPTION. if we can deal with this Evil permanently, 419 will turn on its head when intelligent youth can divert their energies into achieving something positive
