A simple check on Google would have answered this

Contrary to what most people think, a visa is required by Nigerians as well as many other countries including the United States for entry into Tanzania. Visa is issued at the Tanzania High Commission in Abuja ONLY.

When you get to Kenya, take a bus from inside Kenya to Tanzania, it's less than 2 hours and you will enjoy the road trip... you can travel from Kenya to Tanzania without a visa because you've already been stamped in Kenya.

We got visa on entry, and it cost 50usd.

The trip was awesome, we flew in from lagos via kenya to Dar es salam, we had arranged for a taxi to take us to our beach resort, in Dar es salam. We stayed at a beach resort in Dar es salam, Mikardi beach resort. If you are looking for 5 star hotel treament look else where though, it had this very rustic look n feel, very traditional, no hot water, mosquito nets, ankara curtains, we were a bit taken aback when we arrived. We were expecting some nice hotel with white sheets and a nice warm shower after a long journey. N this is what we saw at about 1:30am.

By morning it all looked a lot better the beach was beautiful the setting was actually very nice, seems like only non africans know how to appreciate the beauty of africa as the resort was filled with white people. We even had liver to wear our bikini's which we had pack along.

This scene made up for the shock we recieved the previous night.

We spent 2 nights here, and it was actually a very nice time, the people were warm and friendly(others holidays makers), starting up conversations was very easy. The beach water recceds at night and comes back gradually during the day, we tried taking a walking along the beach line but the massia security people refused us going beyond the boundaries of the resort(safety first). So we stayed back and just enjoyed the scene. We tried walking further into the beach but gave up when some locals seemed a little too excited at our presence, plus they caught a fish in the water n we wondered what else could be lurking in the water, plus there were lots of corals and shells and stones on the ground, so that made walking a little bit uneasy.

From the beach resort we headed out to moshi, where the mount kili (kilimanjaro) resides. We went by road so as to view the country side and actually get a feel of how the people move around. It was an 8 hr bus ride and it was exasperating, as in, it just reminded me of my school days when I had to commute by bus back to the east. About half way into the journery we decided we were not going back by road, we had had see all the country side we needed to see.
Did i mention they tried to cheat us at the park? They saw Black Muzungu(oyibo), they told us that arusha was before moshi and since we were going to moshi we would have to pay more than was stated on the ticket to arusha(moshi is actually before arusha), also forming the whole the bus is about to move thing, pay fast so you can join this bus oh, my friend hurridely paid even while I was still trying to argue the difference with what was written on the ticket and the amount they had asked us to pay(we did get our money back).
My conclusion: people are people and they wud always try to cheat you if they see an oppturnity, its not just a Nigerian thing, But perharps we would not have got the money back if it was in Nigeria.

Some of the sights that made the road trip worth while.

Tanzania is a great place to vacation, the people are nice and friendly as toursim is one of their main income sources. I didn't not go there to seek jobs but i can't really imagine what kind of jobs would be available there. Once they establish you are there on toursim their immigrations is also not an issue. I hope you enjoy you stay there.

I did try kilimanjaro, did not come across anyof these other brands. Also tried some local brew at moshi, that one was horrible. yuck!
